About the Team
OpenAI’s mission is to ensure that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity.

About the Role
We’re looking for a senior communications leader to shape how OpenAI communicates about cybersecurity.
This person will define the global narrative, lead communications for major product, research, and business milestones, and build sustained programs that explain how OpenAI is helping advance cyber defense while managing the risks created by increasingly capable models.
The role will connect OpenAI’s work across cybersecurity products and capabilities, responsible deployment, threat intelligence, enterprise security, research, and public policy. You will work closely with Security, Product, Research, Preparedness, Safety, Global Affairs, Go-to-Market, Legal, and Marketing to anticipate opportunities and risks, develop coordinated communications, and build trust with security practitioners, customers, policymakers, and the public.
This is both a strategic and hands-on role. The right person will be comfortable defining a long-term communications strategy, building the systems and relationships needed to execute it, and personally leading through major launches, technical disclosures, and fast-moving issues.
This role reports to the Head of Communications, Business and is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days per week in the office and offer relocation assistance.
In this role, you will:
Define and lead communications strategy for OpenAI’s cybersecurity work, from global narrative development through launches, research, threat reporting, and sustained storytelling.
Build a clear, differentiated story about how OpenAI can strengthen cyber defense while developing and deploying advanced capabilities responsibly.
Lead communications for major cybersecurity products, model capabilities, research, partnerships, policy initiatives, and company milestones.
Partner closely with the Product and Research Communications team, along with Security, Product, Research, Preparedness, Safety, Global Affairs, Go-to-Market, Legal, and Marketing, to deliver coordinated communications across earned, owned, executive, and social channels.
Own media engagement and build trusted relationships with leading cybersecurity, technology, national-security, policy, and business press.
Advise senior leadership on positioning, messaging, launch strategy, reputation, and communications for high-visibility or fast-moving security issues.
Translate complex technical, security, product, and policy decisions into clear and credible communications, while establishing messaging systems and operating rhythms that keep teams aligned.
You might thrive in this role, if you have:
12+ years of communications experience, with deep experience in cybersecurity, security technology, threat intelligence, national security, infrastructure, or another highly technical field.
Strong press instincts and relationships, with a track record of shaping narratives and landing meaningful coverage with cybersecurity, technology, policy, or business media.
Enough technical fluency to work credibly with security researchers, engineers, threat analysts, product leaders, and technical journalists.
Experience communicating consequential products, research, threat findings, vulnerabilities, incidents, or policy issues in high-scrutiny environments.
Exceptional judgment about accuracy, transparency, confidentiality, and the risks created by imprecise language.
Skill advising senior executives and technical leaders through high-visibility moments with calm and clarity.
The ability to move fluidly between setting the strategy and executing the details, while aligning diverse stakeholders behind a coherent story.

In one of our earlier cohorts, over 80% of fellows produced papers. We run multiple cohorts of Fellows each year and review applications on a rolling basis.
What to expect
- 4 months of full-time research
- Direct mentorship from Anthropic researchers
- Access to a shared workspace (in either Berkeley, California or London, UK)
- Connection to the broader AI safety and security research community
- Weekly stipend of 3,850 USD / 2,310 GBP / 4,300 CAD + benefits (these vary by country)

Program Duration: The program runs for 4 months, full-time. If you can't commit to the full duration, please still apply and note your constraints in the application. We review these requests on a case-by-case basis.
Please note: We do not guarantee that we will make any full-time offers to fellows. However, strong performance during the program may indicate that a Fellow would be a good fit for full-time roles at Anthropic. In previous cohorts, 25-50% of fellows received a full-time offer, and we’ve supported many more to go on to do great work on AI safety and security at other organizations.
Applications and interviews are managed by Constellation, our recruiting partner. Clicking "Apply here" will take you to their portal, and updates will come from a Constellation address. Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.
We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit directly for confirmed position openings.
How we're different
We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.
The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences.
Come work with us!
Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. - Lead or contribute to initiatives that improve support quality, escalation paths, response quality, product guidance, tooling, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, knowledge bases, case guidance, and customer-facing content to support consistency and quality.
- Document investigations, decisions, resolutions, known issues, and open questions so that knowledge can be reused by the broader team.
- Represent Wirespeed as a technical expert to customers and internal stakeholders, communicating with clarity, empathy, and credibility.
- Mentor peers, share knowledge, and participate in an on-call or after-hours support rotation, as applicable to the team’s operating model.
Skills and Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in security analysis, incident response, security product support, technical support, or a related field.
- Practical understanding of common cyber threats and how security issues manifest in real-world environments.
- Strong investigative judgment, including the ability to assess urgency, recognize severe threat-related concerns, and escalate them appropriately to Threat Engineering.
- Experience advising technical and non-technical stakeholders with clear, prioritized recommendations tailored to their environment and goals.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and customer-service skills, with the ability to quickly become a subject-matter expert in new products and workflows.
- Demonstrated ownership of complex cases and projects, with the autonomy to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across Support, Threat Engineering, Product, Engineering, Security, and other internal teams.

- Life insurance
- 25+ paid holidays
- Annual home office stipend

An overview of this role
As an Intermediate Software Engineer on GitLab’s Vulnerability Management team, you’ll help build the core security workflows that GitLab Ultimate customers use to triage, prioritize, and act on vulnerabilities. You’ll work primarily in Ruby on Rails on backend systems, including security dashboards, vulnerability reports, and ingestion pipelines. You’ll take ownership of well-defined projects, solve technical problems with support from experienced team members, and collaborate with other engineers. You’ll also have opportunities to contribute beyond the backend when the work requires it.
You will join a fullstack team, working together with product managers, designers, and frontend engineers to solve problems across the Vulnerability Management domain.
What you’ll do
-
Develop and maintain backend features for GitLab’s vulnerability management workflows.
-
Confidently ship features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members; collaborate with the team on larger projects.
-
Help improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of security data ingestion and reporting systems.
-
Collaborate with frontend engineers and contribute across the stack when needed.
-
Work with engineers across security teams as vulnerability data and workflows come together in Vulnerability Management.
-
Collaborate with Product Management and Product Design to maintain a high bar for quality
-
Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment
-
Conduct code reviews within our Code Review Guidelines and ensure community contributions receive a swift response
-
Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions
-
Participate in on-call rotations to assist troubleshooting product operations, security operations, and urgent engineering issues.
What you’ll bring
-
Experience building and maintaining backend applications with Ruby on Rails.
-
Experience delivering and maintaining software systems as part of a larger engineering team.
-
The ability to investigate technical problems, ask for context when needed, and work toward a practical resolution.
-
Experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
-
Clear communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team.
-
An interest in learning from others, sharing knowledge, and growing your technical skills.
-
Frontend development experience, including JavaScript or Vue.js, is helpful.
-
Experience with Elasticsearch, graph databases, vulnerability management, application security, or related transferable skills is helpful.
About the team
The Vulnerability Management team develops the core security workflows that help GitLab customers triage and manage vulnerabilities. The team owns areas including the security dashboard, vulnerability reports, and ingestion pipelines, and serves as an important interface for security-related features across GitLab. The team is focused on moving beyond lists of findings toward workflows that help customers prioritize and coordinate remediation. You’ll collaborate asynchronously with a small, distributed group and with related security teams, including the Agentic Security Flows team.

About the Team
Critical Harm Operations sits within User Safety & Risk Operations and builds enforcement systems for Frontier Risk and Material Harm that are accurate, fast, defensible, and built to scale. The Cyber vertical turns policy into reviewer standards, calibrated judgment, quality systems, escalation paths, and automation guardrails.
About the Role
We are looking for a senior cybersecurity practitioner and operations strategist to raise the quality, scalability, and technical rigor of our Cyber Operations. You will combine hands-on cyber judgment with systems-level operating design: resolve the hardest dual-use questions, evolve SOPs, uplift reviewers and vendors, and build practical tools and automations.
This is a senior IC role. Success is not primarily cases closed; it is durable improvement in the operating model and the reviewers who run it.
This Toronto-based role is currently remote and is expected to transition to an in-office arrangement.
In this role, you will:
Drive the Cyber Operations operating model across domain priorities, SOPs, escalation paths, quality health, vendor capability, roadmap inputs and help inform trusted access strategies.
Serve as the senior cyber expert for complex or high-risk decisions across ChatGPT, API, Codex, agents, and emerging product surfaces.
Translate policy ambiguity, quality misses, appeals, and reviewer disagreement into clear decision rules, calibration examples, training, and tooling requirements.
Build durable operating systems and quality loops: golden sets, holdouts, double-labeling, adjudication, error taxonomies, reviewer calibration, and automation evaluations.
Raise FTE and BPO capability through onboarding, certification, coaching, recurring calibration, and vendor-performance partnership.
Use quality, appeals, SLA, backlog, and disagreement signals to diagnose root causes and prioritize high-leverage fixes.
Build hands-on solutions—SQL analyses, scripts, dashboards, LLM eval workflows, evidence enrichment, routing logic, and lightweight automations—that improve decision quality and reduce manual effort.
Partner with Policy, Integrity, Safety Systems, Security, Legal, Product, Engineering, and Investigations to operationalize changes and drive launch readiness.
You might thrive in this role if you have:
Have 8+ years of hands-on cybersecurity experience in offensive security, threat intelligence, incident response, security research, red teaming, application security, DFIR, malware analysis, or a related field.
Can reason deeply about attacker tradecraft, vulnerability exploitation, credential abuse, malware, persistence, evasion, exfiltration, cloud or identity abuse, and ambiguous dual-use activity.
Have built or improved high-stakes operations, reviewer programs, QA systems, escalation workflows, or vendor/BPO programs.
Can turn complex cyber and policy judgment into reviewer-usable SOPs, decision trees, training, and concise written recommendations.
Are comfortable using SQL, Python, Python, C/C++, JavaScript, PowerShell, and Bash, APIs, LLM tooling, or automation to solve operational problems.
Understand human-in-the-loop automation, evaluations, monitoring, holdouts, and fallback paths for sensitive workflows.
Operate independently in ambiguity, communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, and bring sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive material.
Experience with trust and safety, platform abuse, cyber misuse of AI systems, or LLM safety.
Nice to have:
Experience with golden sets, classifier or prompt evaluations, and reviewer-quality programs.
Experience enabling global vendor reviewer operations.

Mark43's mission is to empower communities and their governments with new technologies that improve the safety and quality of life for all. We build powerful, scalable, and elegant software that sets a new standard for the tools upon which first responders rely. Our users are diverse, and we are committed to embracing diversity of thought and experience within our team.
We are looking for a AWS Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Manchester. You will own vulnerability and threat management for an environment where the stakes are real; the software you help protect supports law enforcement and emergency services across the US and UK. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you will run a serious security program, respond to real incidents, and be the on-the-ground security presence in our Manchester office, working closely with a wider Cybersecurity team based in the US.
What You'll Do
If you were part of our team, here are some things you would have done last week:
- Driven our vulnerability management program end to end: running scans across cloud infrastructure, networks, and applications, prioritizing findings by risk, and tracking remediation through to closure.
- Researched emerging threats relevant to our environment, turning threat intelligence into clear, actionable guidance on what to patch, watch, or harden next.
- Led the response to a security alert: triaging it, containing the issue, coordinating with the wider Cybersecurity team, and writing up the post-incident review so we are stronger next time.
- Reviewed cloud security configurations across our AWS environment, identifying misconfigurations and hardening controls in line with security best practices.
- Supported colleagues in the Manchester office with day-to-day IT needs such as account access, hardware, new starter setup, as the on-site technical presence.
- Taken your turn on the on-call rotation, ready to respond when a critical security incident does not keep office hours.
What You'll Need
We are looking for a cybersecurity professional with a minimum of 5 years of experience, with a strong focus on vulnerability management, threat research, and cloud security. You have the judgement that comes from time in the field: you know which vulnerabilities to escalate, how to run an incident calmly under pressure, and when to ask for help. Experience with cloud environments, particularly AWS and familiarity with vulnerability scanners, endpoint protection, and SIEM tooling are important. An awareness of UK data protection requirements and frameworks such as Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 is a plus. Solid general IT support skills across Windows environments and networking matter too, since you will be the on-site technical resource in Manchester. You should be comfortable on an on-call rota and collaborating across time zones.
Security Clearance
Given the sensitive nature of the work we do and the law enforcement agencies we serve, the successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain NPPV3 and SC (Security Check) clearance. We will support you through the process, but please note that an offer is conditional upon successfully obtaining the required clearances. This typically requires a minimum of 5 years' recent UK residency so please raise eligibility questions with us during the process.
Who Thrives Here
- Hands-on and execution-focused. You are more comfortable running a vulnerability program than writing a policy about one. You get things done.
- Calm and decisive under pressure. When an incident hits, you hold steady, work the problem methodically, and make sensible calls with imperfect information.
- Self-directed and dependable. As the senior security presence in the Manchester office, you take ownership without waiting to be told and follow through so colleagues can trust that things are handled.
- A clear communicator. You can explain a security risk to a senior leader and help a colleague with an access issue in the same afternoon, adjusting how you communicate to whoever is in front of you.
Location & Logistics
This role is based in our Manchester office, on-site 3 days per week.
Compensation
We are offering £60,000–£80,000 per year depending on experience, plus Mark43's benefits package including private medical insurance, pension contributions, and equity participation.
Mark43 is approved to hire in Canada, the UK, and 36 U.S. states, including Alabama, Arizona, California (excluding San Francisco), Colorado, Connecticut, Washington D.C., Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and West Virginia. Before applying to a remote role, please ensure that you are able to perform the position in one of the states listed above. State locations and specifics are subject to change as our hiring requirements shift.

Mark43 is committed to the full inclusion of all qualified individuals. Position Overview
We are seeking a Service Operations Analyst (Pod) to join our growing Service Operations team within a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment.
This role is designed for a senior individual contributor who can bring structure, follow-through, and operational ownership across one or more service delivery pods.
The Service Operations Analyst (Pod) acts as the connective layer across Clients, Service Delivery, Support Managers, Project Managers, Support Managers, and Finance to ensure key workflows move forward consistently, risks are surfaced early, and nothing critical gets stuck.
This is not a traditional administrative support role. It is a higher-ownership position focused on operational excellence, cross-functional coordination, workflow maturity, and helping shape how the pod support model evolves as Atlas continues to scale.
Responsibilities:
Pod Operational Ownership:
- Act as the Service Operations point person for one or more service delivery pods.
- Bring visibility to open actions, blockers, service risks, and operational dependencies across teams.
- Reduce dependencies on Support Managers for non-technical work.
- Ensure work moves forward consistently through structured follow-up, accountability, and clear ownership.
- Partner with managers and stakeholders to improve operating rhythm, reduce friction, and strengthen execution.
Client Health, QBR Readiness, and Service Visibility:
- Drive QBR readiness and post-QBR follow-through across assigned scope.
- Monitor client health indicators, including backlog trends, SLA risks, service escalations, CSAT/NPS inputs, and other operational signals.
- Help prepare pod-level visibility into performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure action items, opportunities, and service concerns identified through QBRs or leadership reviews are tracked to completion.
Support Project Coordination and Client-Facing Execution
- Coordinate support-related projects, follow-through activities, and operational workstreams that sit between pure ticket support and formal project delivery.
- Help manage timelines, action items, dependencies, documentation, meeting follow-up, and owner accountability for support projects within assigned pods.
- Serve as a client-facing operational partner during support-related initiatives, ensuring clients receive clear communication, timely updates, and strong follow-through.
- Participate in client meetings as needed to review status, clarify next steps, gather requirements, and help keep operational or support-related commitments on track.
- Partner with Support Managers, Project Managers to ensure internal execution and client expectations stay aligned.
- Surface risks, delays, or coordination gaps early so they can be addressed before they affect the client experience.
Billing, Quote, and Commercial Workflow Ownership:
- Own and evolve billing-related workflows tied to support projects, recurring reviews, and monthly follow-through.
- Monitor billing alignment, usage trends, exceptions, and revenue-impacting gaps.
- Own quote management visibility and ensure proposals, pricing-related follow-through, and related approvals move efficiently.
- Build regular checks and balances so Admin and Associate execution remains accurate, timely, and measurable.
- Identify recurring breakdowns in workflow and propose more scalable operating structures.
Workflow Governance and Process Improvement:
- Own complex, cross-functional operational workflows end to end, ensuring they are clear, documented, and sustainable.
- Simplify recurring work by improving process design rather than relying only on manual pushing and reminders.
- Identify operational inefficiencies, recurring blockers, and unclear handoffs, then recommend practical improvements.
- Help define standards, expectations, and service levels for key Service Ops workflows.
Tooling, Dashboards, and Operational Monitoring:
- Monitor dashboards, progress views, and recurring operational trackers to ensure leadership has clear visibility.
- Support the structure and maturity of Service Ops workflows in tools such as , ConnectWise Manage, Power BI, and related systems.
- Maintain operational visibility into aging work, SLA issues, billing/process gaps, and other pod-level risks.
- Partner with leadership on metric design, operating visibility, and practical dashboard usage.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Coordinate effectively across Service, Project Managers, Support Managers, Finance, and other internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a reliable operational partner who can move work across departments without direct authority.
- Support rapid response and follow-through when service, client, billing, or workflow issues require multi-team coordination.
- Communicate clearly on status, risks, blockers, and next steps.
Automation and Scale:
- Identify manual, repetitive work that can be simplified, automated, or shifted downward appropriately.
- Reduce dependencies on Support Manager for non-technical work
- Help define and support AI, automation, or workflow-improvement opportunities within Service Ops.
- Measure whether changes are actually reducing manual load and improving consistency for Admin and Associate roles.
- Contribute to building a more scalable pod support model over time.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in service operations, business operations, project coordination, or a related operational role, ideally within an MSP, IT services, or professional services environment.
- Strong follow-through, ownership, and accountability.
- Ability to manage multiple cross-functional priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong judgment in ambiguous situations, including knowing when to escalate and when to drive resolution directly.
- Experience working with operational tools such as , ConnectWise Manage, Power BI, Excel, or similar systems.
- Comfort working across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to create structure, improve workflows, and keep work moving without relying solely on management escalation.
- Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
- Willingness to operate as a senior individual contributor in a role that is still evolving.
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience in an MSP, IT services, or professional services environment.
- Experience supporting QBRs, client health reporting, or service delivery visibility.
- Exposure to billing workflows, quote/proposal management, utilization tracking, or financial process coordination.
- Ability to identify patterns, turn ambiguity into structure, and improve operating processes.
- Process-oriented mindset with an eye for scale, simplification, and operational maturity.
- Leadership maturity and the ability to influence outcomes without direct people-management authority.
- Interest in helping shape a growing Service Ops pod model.
- Technical aptitude or interest in service-delivery systems, reporting, and workflow automation.
