About the Role
Perplexity is building AI systems that integrate directly into how enterprises operate. Our API Platform powers search, retrieval, and automation across structured and unstructured data, while Perplexity Computer extends this into the execution of an AI system that navigates tools, interacts with applications, and completes multi-step workflows. Together, these platforms form a new integration layer, connecting models, data, and enterprise systems into end-to-end workflows.
We’re looking for Forward Deployed Engineers to work directly with customers to design and deploy these integrations in production. You’ll embed with teams, connect Perplexity into their existing stack, and build systems that automate real work.
This role spans two closely connected areas:
API Platform: integrating search, retrieval, and AI capabilities into enterprise systems
Perplexity Computer: deploying agentic workflows that operate across tools, applications, and data
Perplexity’s platforms are redefining how AI is integrated into enterprise operations. You’ll work on cutting-edge AI systems, building end-to-end workflows and integrations that solve real business problems at scale.
This is a unique opportunity to influence both product and adoption, embed AI deeply in enterprise workflows, and shape the future of how organizations operationalize AI.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy end-to-end integrations between Perplexity and enterprise systems (data platforms, internal tools, SaaS applications), translating business workflows into production-grade AI systems
Work directly with customer teams to embed AI into existing processes, owning deployments from initial architecture through production rollout and ongoing optimization
Develop and operationalize integrations using APIs, event-driven architectures, and workflow orchestration, including deploying Perplexity Computer for multi-step, agent-driven workflows across tools and environments
Design and build production systems that combine retrieval, reasoning, and execution across enterprise environments, applying deep expertise in LLM capabilities, implementation patterns, and the AI stack to drive performance, security, and customer impact
Debug and resolve issues across APIs, infrastructure, and external dependencies, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability in production
Prototype new integration patterns and build reusable architectures that accelerate adoption across customers
Partner with Sales and Product to unlock new use cases, drive expansion, and translate deployment learnings into product and platform improvements
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software engineering, forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, or similar roles, with a track record of building and shipping production systems in customer-facing environments
Strong programming ability in Python (plus one of JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, etc.) with experience developing integrations, prototypes, and scalable applications
Deep experience with APIs and distributed systems, including authentication, latency optimization, and debugging across complex, multi-system environments
Production experience building LLM-powered systems, including prompt engineering, agent workflows, evaluation, and deploying AI systems at scale
Proven ability to design and implement automated, end-to-end workflows that integrate across enterprise systems and replace manual processes
High ownership and ability to operate in ambiguous environments, with strong system design, rapid prototyping skills, and end-to-end execution
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally and engaging both technical teams and executive stakeholders

Responsibilities

Execute full-funnel co-marketing with and through partners, including joint webinars, events, ABM, content syndication, email, and digital campaigns
Build partner enablement assets, including co-branded content, solution briefs, pitch decks, joint case studies, and campaign-in-a-box kits, so partner teams can sell and market with us at scale
Coordinate launch moments and joint announcements, amplifying Perplexity product launches and major industry moments through the ecosystem
Instrument measurement and attribution, tracking partner-sourced and partner-influenced pipeline in CRM, and reporting ecosystem impact to leadership.
Align the field, making sure Perplexity sales and Customer Success know about, trust, and activate partner programs so they stick
Act as connective tissue between Partnerships and BD, PMM, Demand Generation, Sales, and Comms, and serve as the primary marketing counterpart to our partners' marketing teams
Maintain strong relationships in partner organizations and Perplexity across diverse organizations
What we're looking for

For a platform built on Postgres with Auth, Compute, Storage and generated Data APIs at its core, the surfaces where Supabase meets Partners and their systems are some of the most important avenues that we own - this role owns these surfaces.
This role owns a focused portfolio of those Partners. Not the platform as a whole, but a small number of strategic Partners whose integrations you are accountable for making excellent. Success here is a product measure, not a commercial one: the integration is high quality, the developers who use it are well served, and it keeps improving. That means living close to those developers, obsessing over where the integration fails them, and turning what you learn into the roadmap. It is a product and engineering job first, because the best integrations are won in architecture reviews and pull requests, not in meetings.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Owning the success of a focused portfolio of strategic Partners, a small number of them rather than the platform as a whole. You are accountable for the outcome of each partnership: a high-quality integration that the developers who use it reach for, and that keeps getting better.
Living close to the developers who use these integrations. Talking to them constantly, finding where each integration breaks down in real use, and building the roadmap from that signal rather than from a Partner's wishlist.
Deciding the right integration model for each Partner: what Supabase owns, what the Partner owns, what you build jointly, and what stays open and Partner-agnostic, reading whether the two roadmaps run together or diverge and choosing accordingly.
Working hands-on with each Partner's product and engineering counterparts to ship. Holding your own in an architecture review and a code-level design discussion, and turning strategy into shipped, high-quality integrations rather than long conversations.
Setting the quality bar for what a great integration looks like, and building the mechanisms (documentation, tooling, guardrails, versioning) that hold every Partner to it as adoption scales.
Defining what success looks like for each integration and measure it honestly: adoption by the developers who use it, integration quality, and reliability in real use. Using those signals to decide how deep to go with each Partner and where to push the integration next.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You:
Have 7+ years of product management on developer tools, or are an ex-founder with strong product instincts, and are technical enough to read an architecture doc, follow a design discussion, and ask the right questions.
Are based in the San Francisco Bay Area. While we hire globally for almost all roles, this role requires being located near SF.
Have shipped integration or platform surfaces that other companies' systems build against, owning APIs, auth or identity flows, or developer-facing platform surfaces end to end, and can reason at the product level about how two independent systems should authenticate and exchange data: where to be open, where to be strict, and where trust lies in these integrations. Familiarity with more recent primitives like workers/agent sandboxes and developer-tooling products, or with machine-to-machine authentication, is a bonus.
Are biased toward speed, and would rather ship something imperfect (but secure) while learning than spend another month polishing a spec.
Build with what you own, using the surfaces on your roadmap the way a Partner would: standing up an auth flow, calling the Data API, deploying a database, wiring Supabase into another product. You form opinions through first-hand use.
Comfortable using AI tools to compress the slower parts of the role, like research, drafting, and synthesising feedback, so you spend more time on judgment calls.
Work async by default. Supabase is fully remote, so you make decisions in writing and move work forward without meetings.

Agents now drive a growing share of this workflow: they open branches in parallel, run migrations constantly, and need feedback in seconds. The path has to hold for people and agents alike.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Talking to customers across the full spectrum. Indie developers running the CLI for the first time, startups wiring up a branch per pull request, platforms that provision environments on Supabase for millions of their own end users, and enterprise teams who need a documented route from development to staging to production. They ask for features. You find the need behind the ask, and those needs set the roadmap.
Making the pieces feel like one workflow. The CLI, migrations, seeds, configuration, branches, and Git integration have to land on developers as one path. You decide where one tool ends and the next begins, and the mental model is yours to defend.
Owning the outcome of each launch, and defining how it's measured before it ships. The metric, the threshold, and the read afterwards are yours: time to a developer's first migration, branch adoption, the share of teams shipping through a reviewed workflow. Shipping starts the measurement, and the read decides the next call.
Owning the problem statement and the commercial shape behind every bet. You capture the customer evidence, name the constraints (provisioning latency, compute capacity, cost per environment, how much production data an environment can hold), and set each target at how good it needs to be. Every environment costs compute, so you decide what stays free to win a developer and what a company pays for.
Deciding what gets built, what gets deferred, and what gets cut. Every quarter you're choosing between local development ergonomics, partner platforms that run their whole user base on this workflow, enterprise release requirements, and the infrastructure work that all of it runs on. You know the path's SLOs and what spending the error budget costs the roadmap. The priorities are yours to defend, and the written non-scope settles most mid-flight asks.
Keeping engineering, design, and leadership aligned. Your roadmap runs through compute, storage, the CLI, the dashboard, and the GitHub integration. You write it down, surface dependencies before they become blockers, and keep decisions moving.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 7+ years of product management experience on developer tools, or you're an ex-founder with strong product instincts. Technical here means hands-on: you follow a design discussion, get into the code when the answer lives there, with or without AI assistance, and form your requirements from what the system actually does.
You've shipped developer-workflow products. You've owned at least one of local development tooling, migrations, CI/CD, ephemeral or preview environments, or Git-integrated deploys. About the Role
We’re hiring the first Technical Program Manager to join a newly formed Technical Program Management function, reporting to the Head of TPM. This is a founding role, you’ll help design and build how strategic, cross-functional work gets delivered across a global organization. TPMs at Supabase own the connective tissue between teams and between functions, managing the dependencies of our largest programs, and author and maintain/improve the standard of using Linear. About the Role
We're looking for a Field Marketing Manager to bring our partner ecosystem to life through enablement, events, and programs to raise awareness of Supabase's value proposition to early stage startups. You'll own the materials, playbooks, and activations that help our partners - VCs, accelerators, incubators and entrepreneurship programs - successfully promote and build with Supabase. That includes organizing Supabase's presence at partner and VC-related events, running office hours, hackathons and VIP dinners, and turning relationships into repeatable, high-impact programs.
This role sits on the Partnerships team and reports to the Head of Startups, working closely with teammates across the startup program, GTM, developer relations, and marketing. Because the bulk of our events and partner activity is concentrated in San Francisco and the Bay Area, we strongly prefer candidates based there who can regularly attend and host events in person. What You'll Do
Build and maintain partner enablement materials - decks, one-pagers, playbooks, and activation guides - that help partners across the ecosystem promote and build with Supabase
Manage the operational cadence of partner programs: collaborating on strategy, tracking activations, and keeping program logistics running smoothly across partner types

What We're Looking For

Strong project management instincts: you keep many moving pieces on track without dropping details

About the Role
We're looking for a SDK Engineer - JavaScript to join the SDK team and own a core part of how developers talk to Supabase from JavaScript and TypeScript.
Our JS/TS SDKs are the front door to the platform: database queries, auth, storage, realtime subscriptions and edge functions, used by a very large number of developers and by most of the AI coding tools building on Supabase today.
This is a library-authoring role, and the work happens in the open: public repos, public issue trackers, and API decisions whose consequences are permanent. The type system here is a design surface rather than a formality. If you get satisfaction from an inference that Just Works, from a migration guide that saves people an afternoon, and from an issue tracker that isn't a graveyard, you'll like it here.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Build and evolve our JavaScript/TypeScript SDKs.
Start new things. Alongside the maintenance work, you're expected to find what's missing, make the case for it, and build it. Some of what we ship next doesn't exist yet, and nobody will hand you the list.
Work in the open. These are public repos: you'll triage inbound issues, review and shepherd outside contributions, keep CI and release automation healthy, and hold a clear, kind line on scope.
Own the type experience. Keep generated database types flowing correctly through the client APIs so autocomplete and inference stay correct in real codebases.
Keep us honest across runtimes. Node, Deno, Bun, browsers, Cloudflare Workers, React Native/Expo, including dual ESM/CJS publishing and types that resolve correctly under every module resolution mode. Test it, don't assume it.
Work on realtime. Long-lived WebSocket connections, reconnection, and subscription and presence semantics.
Track the platform. When auth, realtime, storage, postgrest or edge-runtime ship a change, make sure the SDKs reflect it, and that we say so in the changelog.
Design in public. Write the RFCs, migration guides, release notes and docs. Treat a breaking change as a deprecation path plus a migration story, not a version bump.
Make our SDKs legible to AI coding agents, which are now a major consumer of them.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Expert-level TypeScript. You use generics, conditional and mapped types as design tools, you can explain why an inference breaks.
You've authored or maintained a published library with a public API and consumers outside your own company. You know what it costs to change something people depend on.
You've worked on open-source projects and know the maintainer side of them. Issue triage at volume, reviewing outside PRs, release automation, changelogs and semver, security reports, and saying no to a feature request without losing the person who asked.
npm packaging fluency: dual ESM/CJS builds, export maps, type resolution, semver discipline, and the failure modes consumers actually hit.

What You’ll Own
Ship products 0→1 and then earn the next version from users. You’ll take features from a blank editor to real users in production, then use what you learn (support threads, usage data, direct conversations) to decide what to build next. We want someone who has done this before: launched something, watched real people use it, and improved it on the strength of that feedback rather than a spec handed down from above.
Own the quality pipeline, not just the feature. In a world where an agent writes a large share of the code, fast, the CI is what keeps that speed safe. You’ll build and tighten the layered checks that let us move quickly without breaking things: type safety at the boundaries, lint and format, unit and component tests, contract tests against our APIs, accessibility, visual regression, and bundle-size budgets, so a red check tells you (or the agent) exactly what to fix before anything reaches users.
Make sure a bug caught once is caught forever. When something slips through, you don’t just patch it. You add the check that would have caught it, at the cheapest stage that can, so the same regression can’t happen twice.
Work end-to-end and in the open. Frontend UI, the API contracts it depends on, preview deploys, observability. You’ll operate autonomously across the stack and do it publicly, in a codebase thousands of developers read and contribute to.

About this role
We’re hiring experienced performance engineers to make performance measurement at Supabase rigorous, repeatable, and actionable by product teams. This role owns the benchmarking and profiling systems we use to detect regressions, explain performance changes, and publish credible numbers for customers and the market. You’ll build the tooling and the methodology and make it easy for product teams to use it correctly.
You’d join a new performance team as one of its first members, working alongside a deeply seasoned performance engineer, with the team growing to roughly six this year. There’s no legacy process to inherit — you’ll help define how we measure and communicate performance metrics at Supabase.
What you’ll do
Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling (cloud, database, and end-to-end).
Define benchmark suites and reference workloads that reflect real customer behavior (and evolve them as the products change).
Establish performance baselines and regression gates across products (variance tracking, environment control, and detection of changes).
Build mechanisms that turn benchmark results into action: triage workflows, owner routing, and clear, reproducible reports.
Partner closely with database teams (e.g. Multigres, OrioleDB) to identify bottlenecks and land concrete performance improvements.

About the Role
We're hiring experienced performance engineers to find and land performance wins across the Supabase stack — from the query optimiser to block device level, and across the network paths and cloud infrastructure that connect our distributed platform. This is a performance delivery role: real, measured improvements to our database, platform, and APIs as we scale toward enterprise and platform-grade workloads. The methodologies you develop and tooling you build exist to multiply that delivery.
You'd join a new performance team as one of its first members, working alongside a deeply seasoned performance engineer, with the team growing to roughly six this year. There's no legacy process to inherit — you'll help define how performance engineering works at Supabase.
What you'll do
Find bottlenecks in live production systems and characterize them precisely enough that the owning team can act on them without you in the room.
Partner closely with database teams (e.g. Multigres, OrioleDB) and infra teams to land concrete performance improvements.
Build, communicate, and evolve performance methodologies and tooling that turn live production data into actionable insight.
Partner with the observability team to capture the right signals and establish a unified view of platform performance (latency, throughput, tail behavior) across products.
Help teams self-serve performance analysis and make performance a first-class engineering concern.

What we're looking for
Deep experience in performance engineering, specifically performance analysis of complex distributed systems.
You can walk the whole stack: follow a tail-latency problem from the query optimizer through the syscall boundary to the IO scheduler — or across pooler hops, network paths, and availability zones — reading profiles and traces at every layer.
Depth on at least one end of that stack: Linux kernel internals (virtual memory, scheduling, networking, IO) or database internals (query planning, storage engines, buffer and WAL management)
Strong working knowledge of networking and cloud infrastructure performance: TCP behavior under load, network virtualization overhead, and the performance characteristics of AWS primitives (EBS throughput and IOPS, instance network limits, placement groups, cross-AZ latency).
Proven ability to turn performance insights into real product and architecture improvements — including getting teams you don't belong to to prioritize and ship the fix.
Strong written communication: your problem characterisations are precise, reproducible, and compelling on their own.

About the Role
We're looking for a Release Engineer (SRE) to join our Release Engineering team (part of EngOps) — a production-operations expert who brings an SRE mindset to how Supabase ships and runs, making deploys safe, observable, and recoverable at scale.
Release Engineering's scope has grown well beyond build-and-ship: we increasingly own the operational reliability of the systems that deploy and run Supabase. In this role you'll treat our deployment pipelines, pre-production signal, and the control plane itself as production systems — with SLOs, error budgets, and on-call ownership — and you'll be the person teams lean on when reliability is on the line.
This is not a "gatekeeper" role. You'll make the reliable path the easy path: standardising how we deploy, instrumenting what we ship, and ensuring that when something breaks, we detect it quickly and recover quickly.
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you'll:
Own the reliability of Supabase's deployment and release systems, and the control plane they run on, against clear SLOs and error budgets
Turn pre-production into a trustworthy signal — standardizing and instrumenting today's fragmented, ad-hoc deployment workflows
Drive disaster-recovery readiness, including making environments reproducibly deployable from scratch (untangling undocumented secrets, unclear configuration ownership, and circular service dependencies)
Build and operate health and SLO monitoring for critical user flows, using synthetic testing to catch regressions before customers do
Reduce mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-recover for deploy-related incidents — which account for a large share of our incident load

Reliability & Operations
Define and track SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and DORA delivery metrics — with meaningful alerting over noise
Ensure deployments fail fast and safely when health checks degrade
Harden access and break-glass workflows (e.g. scoped self-service) so the right people can act in an incident without unsafe workarounds

You Might Be a Good Fit If You

Supabase is looking for an Event Programs Manager, Developer Community & Ecosystem to help grow and scale our developer community initiatives and industry event programs.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Global Events and Field Marketing to build programs that connect Supabase with developers and the broader ecosystem. About the Role
We're looking for engineers to join the team building Supabase Lite, a lightweight, TypeScript-native implementation of Supabase. It runs interchangeably on SQLite and Postgres and ships a PostgREST and Auth compatible API, so applications written against @supabase/supabase-js work as-is. It exists because AI builders and platform partners need a database they can give to every prototype without the cost or the wait: sub-second provisioning, a footprint small enough to run inside a sandbox, and an upgrade path to full Supabase when an app graduates to production.
This is a role with a lot of agency. Small team, working product, patterns still to be set - you'll own large areas end to end and make real decisions from day one.
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you'll:
Grow API compatibility with the Supabase client, keeping behavior faithful to hosted Supabase and backed by conformance tests
Bring more of the Supabase stack to SQLite
Build and harden the path for upgrading a project from Supabase Lite to full Supabase
Own the developer experience end to end: the CLI, local tooling, and docs
Build and harden the hosted offering on a scale-to-zero, near-zero-cost footing, kept loosely coupled so the implementation can be swapped without a rewrite

You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have substantial backend or full-stack experience with strong fluency in TypeScript, and have built or contributed to a backend system, framework, or developer platform before
Are a strong generalist, comfortable moving across the stack from API design to storage internals to infrastructure, and picking up whatever the problem needs
Read unfamiliar code without friction. A lot of the work means studying reference implementations in other languages, such as GoTrue in Go and PostgREST in Haskell, and matching their behavior in TypeScript
Have a solid grounding in SQL and relational databases, and the curiosity to dig into where Postgres and SQLite differ
Have a bias toward compatibility and correctness, and reach for tests and specs to prove behavior

We’re hiring a Strategic Partner Manager to lead our strategic relationships with top AI labs and builders.
We’re looking for one of two candidate profiles for this role:
Partner Solutions Architect background in previous roles. You’re a technical SME and know how to build relationships with Product/Engineering and Partnerships stakeholders and can navigate a large partner organization
Traditional partner management background working with a top-five partner at a high-growth infrastructure technology company. About the team:
Management API, written in TypeScript, Nest.js and for other JavaScript technologies, is a central part of every product in the Supabase stack. It allows all Supabase services and Supabase Studio to communicate with each other, programmatically manage your own Supabase projects and organisations, as well as integrate with 3rd party services like Vercel, Resend, or Lovable. We are seeking someone to help us maintain the existing API, expand OAuth applications capabilities, enhance reliability, and improve the overall public API experience.
You will:
Design, implement, and maintain both internal and public-facing APIs used across various Supabase products, including Studio, CLI, management APIs, and OAuth applications.
Integrate with third-party platforms and partners, either by developing custom integrations or providing clear API points for them to connect with Supabase.
Collaborate closely with various teams across Supabase (DevOps, Frontend, etc.) to ensure smooth integration and implementation of API functionality for the rest of the platform.
Build and enhance testing, debugging, and monitoring tools to ensure public APIs' stability, reliability, and performance.
Work with the dev-workflows team to enhance and improve the Branching experience, making it easier and more valuable for Supabase users.
You have:
5+ years of experience in backend API development, with strong expertise in TypeScript and JavaScript (Node.js) and familiarity with modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Nest.js, Express, Vitest, Zod).
Expertise in designing robust, scalable, and maintainable APIs, and experience with API versioning, pagination, and error handling best practices. Experience with OAuth, JWT, and API security best practices (rate limiting, CORS, etc.). is a plus.
Good understanding of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
Proven ability to build scalable, maintainable APIs and develop tools for testing, debugging, and monitoring API performance.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and containerized deployments to streamline API development, testing, and release processes.
