About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We're looking for a SDK Engineer - JavaScript to join the SDK team and own a core part of how developers talk to Supabase from JavaScript and TypeScript.
Our JS/TS SDKs are the front door to the platform: database queries, auth, storage, realtime subscriptions and edge functions, used by a very large number of developers and by most of the AI coding tools building on Supabase today.
This is a library-authoring role, and the work happens in the open: public repos, public issue trackers, and API decisions whose consequences are permanent. The type system here is a design surface rather than a formality. If you get satisfaction from an inference that Just Works, from a migration guide that saves people an afternoon, and from an issue tracker that isn't a graveyard, you'll like it here.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Build and evolve our JavaScript/TypeScript SDKs.
Start new things. Alongside the maintenance work, you're expected to find what's missing, make the case for it, and build it. Some of what we ship next doesn't exist yet, and nobody will hand you the list.
Work in the open. These are public repos: you'll triage inbound issues, review and shepherd outside contributions, keep CI and release automation healthy, and hold a clear, kind line on scope.
Own the type experience. Keep generated database types flowing correctly through the client APIs so autocomplete and inference stay correct in real codebases.
Keep us honest across runtimes. Node, Deno, Bun, browsers, Cloudflare Workers, React Native/Expo, including dual ESM/CJS publishing and types that resolve correctly under every module resolution mode. Test it, don't assume it.
Work on realtime. Long-lived WebSocket connections, reconnection, and subscription and presence semantics.
Track the platform. When auth, realtime, storage, postgrest or edge-runtime ship a change, make sure the SDKs reflect it, and that we say so in the changelog.
Design in public. Write the RFCs, migration guides, release notes and docs. Treat a breaking change as a deprecation path plus a migration story, not a version bump.
Make our SDKs legible to AI coding agents, which are now a major consumer of them.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Expert-level TypeScript. You use generics, conditional and mapped types as design tools, you can explain why an inference breaks.
You've authored or maintained a published library with a public API and consumers outside your own company. You know what it costs to change something people depend on.
You've worked on open-source projects and know the maintainer side of them. Issue triage at volume, reviewing outside PRs, release automation, changelogs and semver, security reports, and saying no to a feature request without losing the person who asked.
npm packaging fluency: dual ESM/CJS builds, export maps, type resolution, semver discipline, and the failure modes consumers actually hit.
Testing as a habit: unit, type-level and end-to-end against a real stack. Every fix comes with a regression test.
Strong written communication. Design docs, changelogs and issue replies are a large part of the output here, much of it public, and we're async by default.
Real autonomy: you find the important work, scope it, ship it, and say what you didn't do.
Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences.
Have experience in async or globally distributed teams.
Are energized by solving real-world problems for developers.
Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly.

Team Frontend within Supabase owns tooling for the marketing/docs website and the core product called “Studio” Its used by millions of developers around the world building insanely cool applications. We live and die by user feedback and relentlessly address issues every day to make the product better!
What You’ll Own
Ship products 0→1 and then earn the next version from users. You’ll take features from a blank editor to real users in production, then use what you learn (support threads, usage data, direct conversations) to decide what to build next. We want someone who has done this before: launched something, watched real people use it, and improved it on the strength of that feedback rather than a spec handed down from above.
Own the quality pipeline, not just the feature. In a world where an agent writes a large share of the code, fast, the CI is what keeps that speed safe. You’ll build and tighten the layered checks that let us move quickly without breaking things: type safety at the boundaries, lint and format, unit and component tests, contract tests against our APIs, accessibility, visual regression, and bundle-size budgets, so a red check tells you (or the agent) exactly what to fix before anything reaches users.
Make sure a bug caught once is caught forever. When something slips through, you don’t just patch it. You add the check that would have caught it, at the cheapest stage that can, so the same regression can’t happen twice.
Work end-to-end and in the open. Frontend UI, the API contracts it depends on, preview deploys, observability. You’ll operate autonomously across the stack and do it publicly, in a codebase thousands of developers read and contribute to.
What You’ll Bring
A track record of taking a product from 0→1. You’ve launched something real, put it in front of users, and iterated based on how they actually used it, ideally something you can point us to.
Deep frontend fundamentals with strong React. TypeScript and React, plus a real understanding of the modern landscape (SSR, streaming, server components, edge)
A genuine quality-and-tooling mindset. You treat tests, types, and CI as tools that let you and AI agents move faster, not as a tax. You have opinions about where a check should run and what it’s worth, and experience wiring up pipelines with tools like Vitest, Playwright, MSW, or equivalents.
Comfort working with AI coding agents: reviewing what they produce, tightening the architecture where they overreach, and giving them the guardrails to verify their own work.
Autonomy and async communication. You manage your own time, communicate clearly in writing, and thrive without someone assigning you tickets.

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We’re looking for an EngProd Engineer to join our Engineering Operations team and own the engineering experience from local setup to production deploy. You’ll build and integrate the tools our engineers rely on every day: local development, code search, testing, code review, CI, AI-assisted workflows, and the metrics that show where time is being lost. You’ll work closely with other engineering teams at Supabase to eliminate friction, optimize cycle times, and make reliably shipping to production effortless.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that engineers love and that empower them to do their best work.
What You’ll Be Responsible for
In this role, you’ll:
Improve local development and the daily workflow
Own local development environment stability; eliminate “works on my machine,” keep environments reproducible across teams, and make onboarding and setup self-service for every engineer
Improve the daily editing experience, including IDE and editor tooling, extensions, and code search, indexing, and navigation that stays fast as the codebase grows
Build paved roads: project scaffolding, templates, and golden-path workflows that make the right thing the easy thing
Speed up build, test, and CI
Improve our testing tooling and make sure it works well for engineers, including test orchestration, ephemeral end-to-end environments, and techniques like mutation and chaos testing that catch what ordinary tests miss
Profile build and test performance, optimize CI pipelines, parallelize and shard tests, cache aggressively, and hunt down the bottlenecks that leave engineers waiting
Integrate and optimize code review tooling and automated review
Bring AI into how we build
Evaluate, integrate, and promote AI coding agents and assistants where they deliver real leverage without sacrificing quality or maintainability
Build and curate the skills, extensions, and plugins that make those tools effective in our codebase
Measure the real impact of AI tooling so we invest where it actually pays off
Drive engineering excellence
Champion best practices and be a force multiplier for our engineering org
Track productivity metrics and feedback loops (e.g. DORA) to find where cycle time is lost and improve on it
Track code-quality signals such as coverage and mutation testing, and build the dashboards that make quality visible
Establish automation and practices that catch issues early in the development cycle
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 7+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on developer productivity, infrastructure, or platform engineering
Are passionate about developer experience and productivity; you notice when engineers are fighting tools rather than solving problems, and you can’t help but fix it
Are proficient in Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust, and shell and use them to build robust internal tools
You have experience with:
CI/CD systems and pipeline optimization (e.g. Github Actions, ArgoCD, Octopus, Harness)
Local development environments and reproducibility (e.g. devcontainers, Nix, Docker)
Containerization and image optimization
AI-assisted development tools such as coding agents and IDE assistants, with a clear point of view on where they help and where they don’t
Test infrastructure and test orchestration, ephemeral end-to-end environments, flaky-test management, and approaches like mutation or chaos testing
Code review and developer workflow tooling, and the automation that streamlines it
Monorepo tooling, build systems, and package managers (e.g. pnpm, Nx, Turborepo, Bazel), including build caching and remote execution
Developer productivity metrics and feedback loops (e.g. DORA), and using data to drive improvements
You’ve made local development environments stable and reproducible across teams
Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences
Have experience in async or globally distributed teams
Are energized by solving real-world problems for developers
Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and moving quickly

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About this role
We’re hiring experienced performance engineers to make performance measurement at Supabase rigorous, repeatable, and actionable by product teams. This role owns the benchmarking and profiling systems we use to detect regressions, explain performance changes, and publish credible numbers for customers and the market. You’ll build the tooling and the methodology and make it easy for product teams to use it correctly.
You’d join a new performance team as one of its first members, working alongside a deeply seasoned performance engineer, with the team growing to roughly six this year. There’s no legacy process to inherit — you’ll help define how we measure and communicate performance metrics at Supabase.
What you’ll do
Build and evolve benchmarking, profiling, and load-testing tooling (cloud, database, and end-to-end).
Define benchmark suites and reference workloads that reflect real customer behavior (and evolve them as the products change).
Establish performance baselines and regression gates across products (variance tracking, environment control, and detection of changes).
Build mechanisms that turn benchmark results into action: triage workflows, owner routing, and clear, reproducible reports.
Partner closely with database teams (e.g. Multigres, OrioleDB) to identify bottlenecks and land concrete performance improvements.
Enable the company to publish credible, repeatable performance numbers for customers and the market.
Help teams self-serve performance testing and make performance a first-class engineering concern.
Problems you might work on
Build our continuous benchmarking infrastructure so product teams can spot performance regressions early. Ideally, teams can run benchmarks directly on PRs or locally while developing a feature.
Analyze and eliminate issues with load generators, workloads or benchmark environments to ensure that benchmarks are reliable indicators for actual product performance.
Build regression triage tooling that pinpoints what changed (diffing, profiles/traces, query-level attribution).
Help product teams so they can analyze the root cause of performance regressions in benchmark environments themselves.
What we’re looking for
Deep experience in performance engineering, benchmarking, and profiling of complex distributed systems. Specifically, you have owned benchmarking systems where reproducibility and controlling variance mattered.
Strong systems intuition (databases, storage, networking, cloud infrastructure).
Comfortable working across product, infra, and database teams.
Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We're hiring experienced performance engineers to find and land performance wins across the Supabase stack — from the query optimiser to block device level, and across the network paths and cloud infrastructure that connect our distributed platform. This is a performance delivery role: real, measured improvements to our database, platform, and APIs as we scale toward enterprise and platform-grade workloads. The methodologies you develop and tooling you build exist to multiply that delivery.
You'd join a new performance team as one of its first members, working alongside a deeply seasoned performance engineer, with the team growing to roughly six this year. There's no legacy process to inherit — you'll help define how performance engineering works at Supabase.
What you'll do
Find bottlenecks in live production systems and characterize them precisely enough that the owning team can act on them without you in the room.
Partner closely with database teams (e.g. Multigres, OrioleDB) and infra teams to land concrete performance improvements.
Build, communicate, and evolve performance methodologies and tooling that turn live production data into actionable insight.
Partner with the observability team to capture the right signals and establish a unified view of platform performance (latency, throughput, tail behavior) across products.
Help teams self-serve performance analysis and make performance a first-class engineering concern.
Problems you might work on
Tune the kernel's paging behavior to production workloads
Reduce memory overhead in OrioleDB and Multigres
Identify and eliminate sources of latency spikes from application to kernel level
Identify scalability bottlenecks across the entire stack and work the appropriate teams in Supabase and the wider community to resolve them
What we're looking for
Deep experience in performance engineering, specifically performance analysis of complex distributed systems.
You can walk the whole stack: follow a tail-latency problem from the query optimizer through the syscall boundary to the IO scheduler — or across pooler hops, network paths, and availability zones — reading profiles and traces at every layer.
Depth on at least one end of that stack: Linux kernel internals (virtual memory, scheduling, networking, IO) or database internals (query planning, storage engines, buffer and WAL management)
Strong working knowledge of networking and cloud infrastructure performance: TCP behavior under load, network virtualization overhead, and the performance characteristics of AWS primitives (EBS throughput and IOPS, instance network limits, placement groups, cross-AZ latency).
Proven ability to turn performance insights into real product and architecture improvements — including getting teams you don't belong to to prioritize and ship the fix.
Strong written communication: your problem characterisations are precise, reproducible, and compelling on their own.
Pragmatic, tooling-oriented mindset; comfort working across product, infra, and database teams.

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We're looking for a Release Engineer (SRE) to join our Release Engineering team (part of EngOps) — a production-operations expert who brings an SRE mindset to how Supabase ships and runs, making deploys safe, observable, and recoverable at scale.
Release Engineering's scope has grown well beyond build-and-ship: we increasingly own the operational reliability of the systems that deploy and run Supabase. In this role you'll treat our deployment pipelines, pre-production signal, and the control plane itself as production systems — with SLOs, error budgets, and on-call ownership — and you'll be the person teams lean on when reliability is on the line.
This is not a "gatekeeper" role. You'll make the reliable path the easy path: standardising how we deploy, instrumenting what we ship, and ensuring that when something breaks, we detect it quickly and recover quickly.
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you'll:
Own the reliability of Supabase's deployment and release systems, and the control plane they run on, against clear SLOs and error budgets
Turn pre-production into a trustworthy signal — standardizing and instrumenting today's fragmented, ad-hoc deployment workflows
Drive disaster-recovery readiness, including making environments reproducibly deployable from scratch (untangling undocumented secrets, unclear configuration ownership, and circular service dependencies)
Build and operate health and SLO monitoring for critical user flows, using synthetic testing to catch regressions before customers do
Reduce mean-time-to-detect and mean-time-to-recover for deploy-related incidents — which account for a large share of our incident load
Participate in on-call, lead blameless postmortems, and turn findings into runbooks, alerting, and automation that remove toil
Improve deployment observability and auditability — a clear record of what shipped where, when, and by whom
Document operational procedures — break-glass paths, access models, and runbooks — so reliability knowledge isn't tribal
Reliability & Operations
Define and track SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, and DORA delivery metrics — with meaningful alerting over noise
Ensure deployments fail fast and safely when health checks degrade
Harden access and break-glass workflows (e.g. scoped self-service) so the right people can act in an incident without unsafe workarounds
Partner with product engineering and platform teams to align release practices with reliability and availability targets
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 5+ years in SRE, production operations, platform engineering, or release engineering
Have operated production systems at scale and carried on-call for them
Are fluent in SLAs, SLOs, error budgets, DORA metrics, and operational KPIs — and the observability tooling behind them (Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager, or similar)
Have led incident response with tooling like incident.io (or PagerDuty / Opsgenie), run blameless postmortems, and driven down MTTD/MTTR
Operate confidently on AWS (multiple accounts, IAM, VPC) in production
Are comfortable with infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi, Terraform) and Kubernetes
Script and automate to eliminate toil rather than absorb it
Communicate clearly with both infrastructure specialists and product engineers
Thrive in async, globally distributed teams
Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and iterating toward better systems over time

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
Supabase's Partnerships function spans several sub-functions — Integration Partners, Solution Partners, Cloud, Marketplace, and Startups — each of which owns a global strategy for their area. We're looking for a Partner Development Manager, EMEA to give those strategies a real presence in the region.
This is a generalist, region-first role covering all partner types. Rather than owning a single function end-to-end, you'll work across all of them — combining new partner development with the activation of partnerships that already exist globally, wherever the region needs it most.
You'll join an established global partnerships team, working day-to-day with our function leads and EMEA colleagues and reporting to the Head of Partnerships. You are the connection point between global partner strategy and the commercial, regulatory, and market realities of EMEA.
Much of the work happens in person — building senior partner relationships, being present in the market, and capitalising on co-selling and co-marketing opportunities across the region. As regional partner volume grows, we expect the role to evolve and eventually specialise; you'll help shape what that looks like.
What You'll Own
Regional Partner Development
Identify, prioritise, and close new partners across Integration, Solution, Cloud, Marketplace, and Startup motions where EMEA coverage does not yet exist — including smaller regional solution partners and resellers where they open up the market.
Build and maintain a regional pipeline of prospective partners across all functions.
Partner Activation & Enablement
Localise and activate globally-sourced partnerships for the EMEA market, including regional enablement, co-selling, co-marketing, and commercial terms where needed.
Ensure existing partner programs and benefits translate correctly to EMEA customers, partners, and startups.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work alongside each sub-function lead to translate global strategy into regional execution.
Flag where global partnership strategy does not fit EMEA market conditions, and adapt it together with function leads.
Represent Supabase at EMEA partner and developer events, and build relationships with regional partner organisations.
What We're Looking For
5–10 years in partnerships, business development, or channel roles, with direct experience onboarding and running partnerships within EMEA specifically.
Demonstrated ability to operate across multiple partner motions — technology integrations, solution/SI, and startup ecosystem — without a single specialist playbook to rely on.
Experience building a regional function within a company that was previously concentrated in another region.
Strong commercial judgement across varied partner types and counterparties.
Comfortable operating independently across a significant timezone gap from the core team, with clear judgement on what requires synchronous alignment.
Background in developer tools, databases, or infrastructure software.
An established, senior-level network of partner connections in EMEA — across technology vendors, systems integrators, and/or the startup ecosystem — that can be activated quickly, with the credibility to engage senior counterparts from day one.
Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication — including the ability to make a clear case when regional realities diverge from global strategy.
Nice to Have
Established relationships within AWS's EMEA partner organisation (strongly preferred), or GCP/Azure equivalents.
A second language relevant to the region (e.g. French, German, Spanish, Arabic).

This is a generalist, region-first role covering all partner types. Rather than owning a single function end-to-end, you'll work across all of them — combining new partner development with the activation of partnerships that already exist globally, wherever the region needs it most.
You'll join an established global partnerships team, working day-to-day with our function leads and APAC colleagues and reporting to the Head of Partnerships. You are the connection point between global partner strategy and the commercial, regulatory, and market realities of APAC.
This role is based in Singapore.
Identify, prioritise, and close new partners across Integration, Solution, Cloud, Marketplace, and Startup motions where APAC coverage does not yet exist — including smaller regional solution partners and resellers where they open up the market.
Build and maintain a regional pipeline of prospective partners across all functions.
Partner Activation & Enablement
Localise and activate globally-sourced partnerships for the APAC market, including regional enablement, co-selling, co-marketing, and commercial terms where needed.
Ensure existing partner programs and benefits translate correctly to APAC customers, partners, and startups.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work alongside each sub-function lead to translate global strategy into regional execution.
Flag where global partnership strategy does not fit APAC market conditions, and adapt it together with function leads.
Represent Supabase at APAC partner and developer events, and build relationships with regional partner organisations.
What We're Looking For
5–10 years in partnerships, business development, or channel roles, with direct experience onboarding and running partnerships within APAC specifically.
Fluent English, with excellent written and verbal communication — including the ability to make a clear case when regional realities diverge from global strategy.
Background in developer tools, databases, or infrastructure software.
An established, senior-level network of partner connections in APAC — across technology vendors, systems integrators, and/or the startup ecosystem — that can be activated quickly, with the credibility to engage senior counterparts from day one.
Nice to Have
Established relationships within AWS's APAC partner organisation (strongly preferred), or GCP/Azure equivalents.
A second language relevant to the region (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, or Bahasa Indonesia).

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We're looking for engineers to join the team building Supabase Lite, a lightweight, TypeScript-native implementation of Supabase. It runs interchangeably on SQLite and Postgres and ships a PostgREST and Auth compatible API, so applications written against @supabase/supabase-js work as-is. It exists because AI builders and platform partners need a database they can give to every prototype without the cost or the wait: sub-second provisioning, a footprint small enough to run inside a sandbox, and an upgrade path to full Supabase when an app graduates to production.
This is a role with a lot of agency. Small team, working product, patterns still to be set - you'll own large areas end to end and make real decisions from day one.
What You'll Be Responsible For
In this role, you'll:
Grow API compatibility with the Supabase client, keeping behavior faithful to hosted Supabase and backed by conformance tests
Bring more of the Supabase stack to SQLite
Build and harden the path for upgrading a project from Supabase Lite to full Supabase
Own the developer experience end to end: the CLI, local tooling, and docs
Build and harden the hosted offering on a scale-to-zero, near-zero-cost footing, kept loosely coupled so the implementation can be swapped without a rewrite
Work directly with design partners and turn real-world migration and integration friction into a sharper product
Engage with the open-source community and contribute back to the broader Supabase stack.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have substantial backend or full-stack experience with strong fluency in TypeScript, and have built or contributed to a backend system, framework, or developer platform before
Are a strong generalist, comfortable moving across the stack from API design to storage internals to infrastructure, and picking up whatever the problem needs
Read unfamiliar code without friction. A lot of the work means studying reference implementations in other languages, such as GoTrue in Go and PostgREST in Haskell, and matching their behavior in TypeScript
Have a solid grounding in SQL and relational databases, and the curiosity to dig into where Postgres and SQLite differ
Have a bias toward compatibility and correctness, and reach for tests and specs to prove behavior
Think around corners. When everyone reaches for the standard playbook, you look for the simpler path that fits a smaller box — breaking a complex system down to the 20% that covers 80% of the need, then making it run somewhere far smaller than it was designed for
Care about developer experience: clean APIs, fast feedback loops, and tooling that makes the right thing the easy thing
Are comfortable owning ambiguous, early-stage work and making sound calls that inform and define the spec. This is a founding role on a brand-new team
Are comfortable working in public repositories on a remote, async team
Communicate clearly in writing
Bonus: experience with the Supabase stack, building developer CLIs, or a track record of open-source maintenance.

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
Supabase's Partnerships function is scaling fast - spanning Technology Partners, Solution Partners, Startups, and Cloud Partnerships. We're looking for a Partner Operations & Systems Lead to own the operational and technical backbone that lets this team move quickly and make decisions with good data.
This is a senior, hands-on role. You'll design the systems, processes, and reporting that the whole partnerships org runs on - and, increasingly, you'll build the internal tools yourself. Supabase is investing heavily in AI-assisted development to move faster than a traditional ops build cycle allows, and this role is expected to be a leading example of that inside Partnerships.
You'll report directly to the Head of Partnerships and sit alongside our regional and functional leads as a peer, with the mandate to build and enforce operational rigor across all teams.
Beyond the infrastructure, we want someone who helps shape where Partnerships places its bets - not just the system that reports on them.
What You'll Own
Systems & Data Infrastructure
Own the partner tech stack end-to-end - CRM partner objects, attribution tooling, and partner-facing portals.
Design and maintain partner attribution models and the dashboards leadership uses to evaluate performance.
Ensure data hygiene and consistency across partner records, deals, and touchpoints spanning all sub-functions.
Process & Program Management
Design and run partner onboarding, tiering, and certification programs.
Own the RFC / DRI decision-making framework for the partnerships team, including how it's used and refined over time.
Run deal-registration and "quarterback" account-ownership processes that keep internal teams aligned on partner-sourced deals.
Build and maintain the playbooks, SOPs, and enablement materials that let the team scale without you in every meeting.
Internal Tooling & Automation
Build internal automations that remove manual ops work - e.g., auto-generated partner performance reports, HubSpot-to-Slack syncs, or deal-conflict alerts - using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code.
Prototype and ship lightweight internal apps and dashboards (partner health scorecards, RFC trackers, cross-tool syncs) without waiting on a shared data engineering backlog.
Act as technical owner for partnerships' internal tools: write the spec, build it, test it, ship it, and maintain it.
Know where the line is between a quick internal script and something that needs to be handed to Data/Engineering for production hardening - and manage that handoff cleanly.
Reporting & Analytics
Produce recurring performance reporting on partner-attributed revenue and pipeline influence.
Own the metrics and KPI framework the partnerships team is measured against.
Support QBRs and board-level reporting on partnership performance.
Strategic Contribution
Contribute to partner segmentation, tiering, and prioritization strategy - bringing data and operational reality to bear on where the team should invest.
Challenge existing assumptions in the partner motion (which tiers, which incentive structures, which sub-functions get resourced) using evidence from the systems you own.
Partner with the Head of Partnerships on strategic planning cycles - translating operational signal into recommendations, not just dashboards.
Own execution of agreed strategic direction: once a call is made, drive the operational and cross-functional work to make it real.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Serve as the connective tissue between Partnerships, Sales, RevOps, Legal, and Finance.
Ensure partner agreement terms are correctly reflected in systems and reporting.
Sit at the table for partner segmentation, tiering, and incentive-structure decisions as a contributor and challenger, not just an operator reporting on them after the fact.
What We're Looking For
7+ years in partner operations, revenue operations, or a related ops function, including experience designing (not just running) a program at scale.
Proven ownership of a partner or revenue tech stack - you've made the build/buy/migrate calls, not just administered someone else's setup.
Comfortable operating as the operational voice in exec-level rooms - QBRs, board prep, and cross-functional planning.
Hands-on fluency with AI-assisted development (Claude Code or similar) - you can scope a problem, prompt effectively, review the output critically, and ship something real.
A point of view on partner economics - rev share modeling, LTV by partner type - that can inform deal structuring, not just track it after signature.
A track record of shaping strategic decisions, not just implementing them - comfortable pressure-testing a plan in the room and then owning the execution once direction is set.
Experience managing a small team or dotted-line relationships across regions or sub-functions.
Excellent written communication - you can turn ambiguity into a clear framework or a one-page decision doc.
Nice to Have
Experience with HubSpot (custom partner objects, multi-touch attribution), Clazar for cloud co-sell, and Linear for project management.
Background in a developer-tools or platform business with a partner-driven go-to-market motion.
Prior experience building internal tools or scripts, even informally, before AI-assisted development made it mainstream.
How We'll Evaluate
Alongside standard interviews, candidates will complete a short build exercise: given a messy partner-data problem, show us how you'd use Claude Code (or a similar tool) to solve it. We're evaluating judgment and problem-scoping as much as the output itself.
What We Offer
Fully Remote

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Commercial FinOps Lead to own the commercial and vendor-management function for Supabase. You’ll run our cloud and SaaS vendor relationships end-to-end (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, CloudQuery, ClickHouse, and more), leading negotiations and renewals, enforcing procurement governance, and applying our VIA operating model (Visibility, Insights, Actions) to keep vendor spend disciplined and well-governed. You’ll work closely with Finance, Engineering, Legal, and our vendor partners.
This is a founding role for the commercials function. The operating model, the source of truth for vendor spend, and the standards are yours to define, against a clear position: this is a FinOps role first, not a procurement desk. You'll own the technical and analytical side of vendor management, reporting, efficiency, and the commercial interface across the company, while keeping procurement governance tight. It's ideal for someone fluent across finance and engineering, who thrives in async, fast-moving environments, and wants to build a function from the ground up rather than inherit one.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
In this role, you’ll:
Own vendor relationships: Run our primary cloud and SaaS vendor relationships end-to-end (AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, CloudQuery, ClickHouse, and more), leading renewals and negotiations alongside Finance and Legal.
Run procurement governance: Enforce our competitive-bid process for incoming requests and manage larger procurement through our managed-procurement partner, keeping oversight and accountability with FinOps.
Drive commercial VIA: Own spend visibility and unit economics, surface licensing and usage inefficiency before it becomes a surprise, and drive renewals, right-sizing, and tooling consolidation to realized savings.
Build reporting and governance: Vendor and SaaS cost reporting is the unowned gap today and your highest-leverage area in the first year. Build the dashboards and reporting hands-on, partner with our data teams to scale them, and own the governance layer (spend policies, thresholds, accountability).
Coordinate the cloud efficiency program: Keep optimization initiatives visible and tracked from commitment to realized savings, partnering with Engineering without taking over their delivery.
Hold the boundary on the role: You own the analytical, commercial, efficiency, and program side of vendor management. This is not a buying desk or a contracts-admin seat, and it does not take over engineering's delivery or status reporting. Procurement partners (e.g. Vertice) assist; FinOps keeps oversight and accountability.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 5+ years in vendor/commercial management, procurement, FinOps, or technical/financial analysis, at a senior, function-owning level.
Have owned vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and renewals, and treat them as a lever on unit economics.
Have run procurement governance such as competitive-bid processes, benchmark analysis, approval thresholds, or managed-procurement partners.
Have high judgment and can hold a position and drive alignment without positional authority.
Build cost dashboards and reporting hands-on (SQL, BI tools), and are comfortable with vendor and cloud spend data (AWS, GCP, SaaS billing) and licensing/usage analysis.
Communicate clearly across both technical and non-technical audiences.
Have experience in async or globally distributed teams.
Are energized by building a function from the ground up and navigating ambiguity.

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
Supabase manages millions of Postgres instances and is growing. We have strong teams across observability, release engineering, and incident management — and we're concentrating our reliability efforts into a dedicated SRE practice that ties the discipline together across the platform.
You'll be embedded within Service Operations, and your primary job is to make every engineering team more reliable — not by owning their infrastructure, but by establishing the practices, frameworks, and feedback loops that let them own reliability themselves. You'll work across the org: sometimes setting the standard, sometimes pair-programming a fix, sometimes helping a team define their error budget, sometimes telling them it's exhausted.
This role is ideal for someone who has a strong vision for how SRE should work and thrives in async, fast-paced environments where influence matters more than authority.
What You'll Own
Partner with service teams to define meaningful SLIs and SLOs grounded in customer experience, and build the error budget policies that turn them into engineering decisions
Own and evolve the Operational Readiness Review (ORR) process — conducting reviews for new services and major changes across observability, alerting, runbooks, capacity, and graceful degradation
Strengthen the incident-to-improvement pipeline: connecting postmortem findings to operational readiness gaps, identifying repeat failure patterns, and driving systemic fixes
Act as the reliability expert teams pull in for architecture reviews, failure mode analysis, dependency mapping, and resilience design
Identify and quantify operational toil across the org, and build or advocate for automation that eliminates it
Help teams design sustainable on-call practices: alert quality, escalation paths, runbook coverage, and noise reduction
Track and report on org-wide operational maturity, surfacing systemic gaps and driving remediation
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 7+ years of experience in SRE, production engineering, or reliability-focused roles, including experience shaping SRE practices and driving adoption across engineering teams
Have a software engineering mindset — you write code and build tools, not just configure them
Have hands-on experience defining and operationalizing SLOs/SLIs at scale, including error budget policies that actually influenced engineering decisions
Have deep experience with incident response, postmortem facilitation, and turning incident learnings into systemic improvements
Have worked with large-scale multi-tenant systems (bonus: managed database platforms or Postgres)
Are proficient with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) and infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi preferred, Terraform/CDK also acceptable)
Communicate clearly and persuasively — this role requires influencing without authority across a distributed org
Have experience in async or globally distributed teams
Are energized by making other teams more effective rather than being the one who fixes everything
Nice to Have
Experience with Kubernetes-based platform operations
Familiarity with OpenTelemetry, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, or similar observability tooling
Experience building developer-facing reliability tooling (SLO dashboards, ORR frameworks, toil tracking, DORA metrics)

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
About the Role
We're looking for Engineering Managers to lead engineering teams across Supabase. Teams range from developer-facing surfaces, core backend services, Platform, EngOps, and Databases.
This is a single pipeline for engineering management. As we get to know your background, we'll match you to the team where your experience and interests overlap most strongly. The Engineering Manager is a people, delivery, and technical role. Although we don’t expect managers to contribute to code directly, we do expect you to participate in design discussions and to be involved in setting the bar for engineering quality and best practices.
This is a new role at Supabase. We've historically optimised for technical excellence on every axis, including leadership. As our engineering org grows, people leadership has become just as critical, and the Engineering Manager role exists to reflect that. You'll be shaping what this role looks like from day one.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Team & People
Build a healthy, high-trust team culture in a remote-first, globally distributed environment.
Run 1:1s, performance management, career development, and onboarding for your direct reports.
Handle people admin (leave, time off, etc.) for your team.
Hiring
Own the hiring plan for your team and act as Hiring Manager. First round of interviewer for all roles on the team.
Partner with Talent Acquisition to source, interview, and close strong candidates.
Contribute to headcount planning, org design, and the evolution of engineering leadership at Supabase.
Delivery & Roadmap
Own the team's roadmap and project management (Linear), driving accountability and clear milestones.
Manage workflow intake and Slack triage. These are the team’s primary inboxes for cross-team requests. You decide what gets routed where, prioritized, or pushed back on.
Own the team's weekly updates and keep stakeholders aligned without creating overhead.
Organize effort against support tickets and maintain the team's SLO.
Surface risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs early and clearly to leadership.
Incident Commander
Train as an Incident Commander. Drive coordination, resolution, and post-incident follow-up.
Lead blameless post-incident reviews
You Might Be a Good Fit If You
Have 5+ years of engineering background, with enough depth to be credible with engineers building complex systems.
Have 3+ years managing remote engineering teams.
Have managed engineering teams at a cloud, SaaS, or developer tools company. Experience with developer tools or databases is a strong preference, but we'll consider any sufficiently technical background where you can demonstrate the ability to ramp on a new domain.
Have managed remote, globally distributed teams that work asynchronously across disparate time zones.
Are technical enough to be credible with strong engineers, but genuinely passionate about people management. This is the work you want to do, not a track you're settling for.
Build psychological safety and a feedback culture: you give feedback often and in the moment, ask for it back, and create space for the team to do the same.
Operate as a multiplier. Focused on helping individuals achieve more than they could alone, not on being the best technical voice in the room.
Coach rather than direct. Remove blockers, connect people to context and resources, and trust your engineers to own how the work gets done.
Have a real track record of performance management and can speak to specific examples of difficult conversations and how you navigated them.
Are comfortable with ambiguity and capable of building structure where there isn't much.
Communicate clearly and write well. You're default async, default written, set context proactively, and surface risks early.
Are collaborative, low-ego, and adaptable. You thrive working with high-autonomy, senior ICs who have strong technical opinions and don't need to be the smartest person in the room.

About Supabase
Supabase is an open source Firebase alternative. We give developers a Postgres database, authentication, instant APIs, edge functions, and real-time subscriptions — all in one platform. We are building the infrastructure layer for the next generation of applications.
Corporate IT at Supabase reports into the Security organization. Identity and endpoint hygiene are treated as security controls, not administrative overhead. You will work with a small, senior team with direct access to engineering leadership and a mandate to automate everything.
About the Role
You will work directly with our IDM/MDM Lead to own the day-to-day operations of our identity and endpoint stack — Okta, Slack, Iru (MDM), and the integrations that tie them together. This role is equal parts identity management and endpoint operations, with a strong expectation that you automate what you repeat and document what you automate.
This role provides follow-the-sun IT and identity coverage alongside our IDM/MDM Lead on the West Coast. Fully remote, with a strong preference for candidates based in EST or APAC.
What You’ll Own
Identity & Access Management
Administer Okta day-to-day: user provisioning, group management, SSO application configuration, and MFA policy enforcement.
Own joiner-mover-leaver (JML) workflows — ensure access is granted on day one, adjusted on role change, and fully revoked on departure with no manual gaps.
Maintain and improve Okta lifecycle automation, reducing manual provisioning toil and closing the window between HR events and access changes.
Audit access regularly: identify stale accounts, over-provisioned roles, and orphaned app assignments before they become incidents.
Support FIDO2/WebAuthn and YubiKey deployment for privileged access across the organization.
Endpoint Management & MDM
Administer Iru (formerly Kandji) MDM for macOS fleet: device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance baselines, and policy enforcement.
Ensure all managed endpoints meet security baselines — disk encryption, screen lock, patch cadence, and EDR agent deployment.
Support onboarding hardware logistics: device procurement, enrollment, and first-day readiness across global time zones.
Identify and track unmanaged or out-of-compliance devices; drive remediation and escalate persistent non-compliance.
Maintain MDM configuration as code where possible — changes should be reviewable, versioned, and reversible.
SaaS & Collaboration Platform Operations
Administer Slack workspace: channel governance, app integration reviews, guest access management, and enterprise grid operations.
Manage the corporate SaaS portfolio — own app provisioning, license tracking, and access reviews for tools like Google Workspace, Zoom, Notion, and others.
Review and approve new SaaS integration requests against security and data handling standards before deployment.
Maintain an accurate inventory of corporate applications, their owners, access scope, and data classification.
Automation & Process Improvement
Identify repetitive IT tasks and eliminate them through automation — scripting, workflow tooling, or Okta lifecycle rules.
Write and maintain runbooks for all core IT operations so coverage is consistent across time zones and not dependent on any single person.
Contribute to IT metrics: onboarding time-to-access, offboarding completion rate, MDM compliance percentage, and access review cadence.
Partner with the Security Engineering team to close gaps surfaced by compliance audits (SOC 2, ISO 27001) that touch identity and endpoint controls.
You Might Be a Good Fit If You Have
2–4 years in a corporate IT, IT operations, or identity administration role at a cloud-native or SaaS company.
Hands-on Okta administration experience: SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and group/policy configuration.
Experience with a modern MDM platform (Kandji/Iru, Jamf, or equivalent) managing a macOS-first fleet.
Working knowledge of JML processes — you understand why a 24-hour offboarding window is a security risk, not just an IT inconvenience.
Comfortable with scripting or automation (Bash, Python, or similar) to reduce manual toil.
Async-first communicator: you document decisions, write clear runbooks, and don’t let tasks die in DMs.
Nice to Have
Experience with FIDO2/WebAuthn deployment or hardware security key programs (YubiKey 5 series).
Familiarity with Slack enterprise grid administration including app governance and Connect channel management.
Exposure to SOC 2 or ISO 27001 evidence collection for identity and endpoint controls.
Experience managing IT operations across APAC and Americas time zones simultaneously.
Familiarity with Google Workspace admin, including directory sync and group-based provisioning.
Prior work in a security-adjacent IT role where identity hygiene and access control were first-class concerns.
What We’re Not Looking For
A ticket-taker who waits for requests. We expect you to proactively find and close gaps — stale accounts, unmanaged devices, ungoverned app integrations.
Someone who treats IT and security as separate disciplines. Every identity and endpoint decision here is a security decision.
A process follower who can’t write automation. If you’re doing the same task manually for the third time, that’s a bug.
What We Offer
Fully Remote
We hire globally. We believe you can do your best work from anywhere. There are no Supabase offices, but we provide a WeWork membership or co-working allowance you can use anywhere in the world.

About the Role
We’re looking for a Product Security Engineer to join our team and help strengthen how security is built into Supabase’s products, platform, and engineering workflows as we continue to scale. You’ll work closely with software engineers, infrastructure teams, and technical leadership, helping us proactively reduce risk earlier in the development lifecycle and ship securely by default.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is excited about building developer tools that scale to millions. Success in this role means improving the security posture of the product without becoming a blocker to speed, autonomy, or builder velocity.
What You’ll Own
In this role, you’ll:
Identify and close gaps across application security, secure design review, and vulnerability management.
Conduct threat modeling, secure design reviews, and code reviews to identify practical remediation paths.
Partner closely with engineering teams to provide product-focused security expertise and shape a modern security program.
Mature how we think about security in a developer-first environment, balancing pragmatism with strong technical judgment.
Distinguish between theoretical risk and material business risk to prioritize security efforts effectively.
Improve security posture through scalable mechanisms like tooling, automation, secure defaults, and developer-friendly guardrails.
Support security incident response by helping triage, investigate, and coordinate remediation for product and platform security issues.
Participate in security on-call rotations, helping respond to urgent security events with clear judgment and calm execution.

About Supabase
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers. We provide a complete backend solution including Database, Auth, Storage, Edge Functions, Realtime, and Vector Search. All services are deeply integrated and designed for growth.
Edge Functions are server-side TypeScript functions, distributed globally at the edge - close to your users. They power use cases such as webhook receivers, AI inferences, OG image generation and real-time bots (Slack, Discord, etc). Built on top of Supabase Edge Runtime: an open-source, Deno-based runtime written in Rust that runs JavaScript, TypeScript, and WASM services.
We want developers to be able to build truly global applications by distributing both compute and data globally. Infrastructure concerns like regions, cold starts, CPU and memory provisioning should fade into the background so developers can focus on iterating on business logic.
We are looking for experienced and passionate engineers to help us go further in this vision.
What You’ll Own
Evolving Supabase Edge Runtime - an Open-sourced Rust-based host that runs the Deno isolate, manages the main/user runtime split, and enforces per-request memory and CPU limits.
Implementing monitoring, alerting, and OpenTelemetry tracing across the runtime, then using that visibility to drive optimizations that improve latency and reliability of the service.
Working closely with the Deno and other open-source teams, contributing to upstream and relaying our users' requirements.
Participating in an on-call rotation to keep Edge Functions healthy in production.
Help manage and improve features like scheduled functions, background tasks, WebSockets streaming, ephemeral file storage, and custom routing.
Integrating functions more tightly with the rest of the Supabase stack - Auth, Postgres, Storage, and Realtime.
Expanding functions to support more use cases (AI inference, MCP servers, hosting simple websites, URL shorteners).
Improving the DX of developing and debugging functions locally through the Supabase CLI, including DevTools integration, logging, and production parity.
What You’ll Bring
At least 5 years of backend or systems engineering experience, with strong fluency in Rust and TypeScript.
Experience with V8 Isolates, Deno and the JavaScript runtimes in general.
Experience operating infrastructure at scale - Kubernetes, AWS, Cloudflare Workers, Redis, or comparable systems.
A strong vision for how compute and data can be pushed to the edge.
Bonus: experience building developer-facing CLIs or front-end tooling that sits on top of an infrastructure product.

About The Role
We are looking for a CLI Engineer to join our CLI Team and help build a world-class local development experience.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role focused on the supabase CLI, local development tooling, and the developer experience that makes Supabase feel like a first-class part of any dev environment. At this level, you'll also be a technical anchor for the team — setting the bar on architecture, owning the hardest problems, and raising the quality of the engineers around you.
You will work closely with customers, product teams, and the open source community to deliver tooling that is consistent, secure, and performant across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in async, fast-paced environments and is energized by building developer tools that scale to millions.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Designing and developing CLI tooling that is consistent, secure, and performant across Windows, Linux, and macOS
Driving architecture decisions for the CLI and local development stack — writing RFCs, building consensus, and move proposals to outcomes
Owning the hardest cross-platform problems: edge cases, release engineering, backwards compatibility, performance at scale
Defining and maintaining CLI design standards — command structure, output formatting, error messaging, agentic usability — that the team builds against
Designing and evaluating CLI behavior for agentic workflows, ensuring the CLI is as usable for AI agents as it is for developers, and building the evals that measure that
Collaborating with product and platform teams to define end-to-end behavior: from API design through to how the CLI and local development stack surface those capabilities
Implementing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests so reliability and maintainability stay high as the surface area grows
Raising the technical quality of the team through structured code review, design feedback, and pairing — you take satisfaction in making the engineers around you better, not just shipping your own work
Creating documentation and help content for CLI users and contributing developers
Participating in releases, versioning, and backwards compatibility for the components you own
Monitoring usage and feedback; working with customers and the open source community to improve CLI experiences
Engaging with the open-source community — contributors, issues, feedback
You Might Be A Good Fit If You
Have 5-8 years building developer-facing tooling, most of it on a CLI
Have strong TypeScript experience — this is a TypeScript codebase and you should be genuinely comfortable at depth
Have hands-on experience building, maintaining, or owning CLIs — including cross-platform concerns: filesystem access, subprocess management, terminal UX, and platform-specific behavior
Have a track record making and defending architectural decisions in a collaborative, async environment — RFCs, design docs, building consensus
Have experience building CLIs with great developer UX: intuitive command structure, clear output, actionable error messaging
Are familiar with agentic workflows and designing for agent use cases
Are familiar with package distribution and installation (npm, Homebrew, APT, Snap, Scoop, Chocolatey)
Have solid Git workflow and CI/CD experience for automated testing and deployment
Are highly autonomous — you don't need a lot of direction to go deep and ship
