Our mission is to automate coding. The first step in our journey is to build the best tool for professional programmers, using a combination of inventive research, design, and engineering. Our organization is very flat, and our team is small and talent dense. We particularly like people who are truth-seeking, passionate, and creative. We enjoy spirited debate, crazy ideas, and shipping code.
About the Role
We're hiring a Software Engineer for our User Operations team to own and build our product quality infrastructure and tooling — the systems that capture, triage, route, and acts on customer and product feedback at scale. You'll work on everything from intelligent bug reporting pipelines to software that captures customer feedback at scale to systems that give our business real-time visibility into our strongest Voice of the Customer signals.
This is an internal-facing role with direct impact on product quality. You'll be building the systems that close the loop between what customers experience and what gets built — helping us catch problems before our users do, and ensuring the right signal reaches the right people, fast. If building an AI-native, first-of-its-kind Voice of the Customer program from the ground up excites you, this role is for you.
What you'll do
Develop AI-powered systems that synthesize customer signal at scale — separating noise from what matters, routing feedback to the right teams, and surfacing the voice of the customer in ways that actually shape product decisions.
Build dashboards and data pipelines that give engineering and product leaders real-time visibility into bug volume, quality trends, and where their domains stand — by product area, severity, and over time.
Build intelligent bug intake and triage systems — moving from manual, inconsistent prioritization to agentic pipelines that produce well-written, well-prioritized bug reports at scale.
Build integrations across our tooling ecosystem (ticketing systems, payment processes, CRM, data warehouse, etc.) to create seamless workflows.
Partner with domain specialists and support engineers to identify pain points and ship solutions quickly — you're building for an internal team that will tell you exactly what's broken.
You may be a fit if
Experience working cross-functionally to deliver highly impactful, technical projects and systems
Experience building internal tools, developer platforms, or operations infrastructure.
Strong full-stack engineering skills — you're comfortable owning projects from database to UI.
Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics tooling.
Deep product knowledge of Cursor and AI-assisted development workflows.
Experience integrating with third-party platforms (ticketing systems, payment processors, CRMs).
Strong sense of ownership and a bias for action — you ship fast and iterate based on feedback.
Self-starter with curiosity, creativity, and a distaste for manual toil.

Maintain deep knowledge of Cursor's product, roadmap, and competitive landscape
You may be a fit if
You have 3+ years leading Field Engineers, Solutions Architects, or Pre-Sales teams focused on a specific vertical or strategic/Fortune 500 accounts
You have demonstrated expertise selling to or supporting accounts in one or more of our target verticals (High Tech, Retail, Life Sciences, Finserv, Public Sector, Aerospace, Healthcare), and direct industry background is a strong plus

We're hiring a Software Engineer, Billing to evolve the systems that power how Cursor charges and reconciles revenue across millions of developers and enterprise teams.
You will work across the billing stack — usage metering pipelines, subscription and entitlement systems, payment integrations, and the ledger layer — to make billing accurate, scalable, and transparent. This is a deeply technical IC role. It is not a finance ops role, and it is not a backend generalist role wearing a billing hat.
What you’ll do
Implement usage and billing systems changes end-to-end, from updates in the UI and raw usage events at the edge to invoiced amounts in Stripe, including the metering pipeline, aggregation logic, entitlement enforcement, and ledger.
Evolve our ledger system that serves as the source of truth for customer balances, credits, overages, and adjustments — with the correctness guarantees that financial systems require.
Integrate deeply with Stripe including subscriptions, usage records, invoices, webhooks, and edge cases like mid-cycle plan changes, prorations, and failed payment recovery.
Build billing APIs and internal tooling that product, finance, and customer success teams depend on to query customer state, issue credits, and investigate billing anomalies.
Improve observability across the billing pipeline — metering lag, reconciliation discrepancies, invoice accuracy — so the team can quickly detect and debug billing regressions.
Partner with product, infrastructure, and finance teams to ship new pricing models with confidence and minimal operational risk.
You will own usage & limits across the product family, payments (stripe + daily jobs), grants & promotions, ledger, and internal data insights. You will be a technical authority on billing correctness and scale.
You will not own tax compliance, or general finance infrastructure unless it intersects directly with the billing system.
You will not be a backend generalist who contributes to billing occasionally. This is the core of your scope.
Revenue accuracy is part of the job, but the goal is to build systems with enough correctness and observability that billing is boring — not to manually reconcile every edge case.
You may be a fit if
You’ve shipped a usage-based billing system in production and have opinions on metering architecture, idempotency, and exactly-once semantics.
You’ve integrated deeply with Stripe, understand its data model, and have dealt with erroring webhooks.
You’ve built or maintained a financial ledger and understand why it’s required.
You care about correctness and making sure customer’s don’t have to manually review their invoices.
You can hold the tension between "move fast" and "do not lose revenue or trust."
You feel comfortable shipping features end-to-end - scaling up infrastructure to tweaking a UI component.

Perplexity is seeking its first Sales Enablement hire to build the function for our Enterprise, Commercial, and BDR teams. Our sales org is growing quickly and selling a product that evolves almost every week to buyers who range from IT and security to legal, research, and the C-suite. This role owns how sellers ramp, how they tell the Perplexity story, and how they get better every quarter.
This is an individual contributor role reporting into Sales leadership. It is hands-on: you will set the strategy and also write the onboarding curriculum, record the demo, build the battlecard, and run the Friday call review. You will partner closely with Sales leadership, AI Strategists, Product, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Strategic Finance.
What you'll do
Onboarding and ramp
Design and run a repeatable onboarding program for new BDRs, Commercial AEs, and Enterprise AEs, with a defined bar for what "ramped" means at each role and clear ramp-time targets
Own the first 30/60/90 for every new seller, including product certification, pitch and demo certification, tooling proficiency, and territory readiness
Build in feedback loops so every cohort improves the next one
Messaging, pitch, and demo
Codify the Perplexity Enterprise, Commercial, and API pitch into a single, current, opinionated narrative that every seller can deliver the same way
Build and maintain the standard demo flow for each product surface (Enterprise Pro, Computer, API) and keep it current as the product ships
Partner with Product Marketing on positioning, use cases, buyer personas, and vertical narratives (Financial Services, Legal, Healthcare, Consulting, and others as they emerge)
Ongoing enablement and coaching
Run a regular enablement cadence (weekly rep-facing sessions, monthly deep dives, quarterly kickoffs) driven by what the field actually needs
Build a live call-review and coaching program with Sales leadership, using recorded calls to reinforce what good looks like and surface where reps are getting stuck
Own the enablement content library — playbooks, talk tracks, discovery questions, objection handles, competitive battlecards, ROI framing — and keep it usable, current, and findable
Product-to-field translation
Sit close to Product to translate each release into "what this means for the field": what to say, who to say it to, when to bring it up, and what proof to lean on
Build a launch process that turns product updates into field readiness quickly and consistently
Sales methodology and skill development
Partner with Sales leadership to select and operationalize the qualification and deal-management framework that fits Perplexity's motion — training, reinforcement, coaching, and inspection
Build role-specific skill programs (discovery, multi-threading, negotiation, executive presence, technical selling to IT and security buyers)
Measurement and iteration
Define what enablement is accountable for: ramp time to first deal, pitch and demo certification pass rates, win rate on contested deals, content adoption, and manager coaching consistency
Report against those metrics and kill programs that do not move them
What we're looking for
6+ years in sales enablement, sales training, sales operations, or a quota-carrying / sales-adjacent role at a B2B software company, with clear ownership of a program you built end to end
A track record of building or scaling enablement from zero or near-zero — you have been the first or second enablement hire before, or you have owned a function that ran like one
Strong instincts for sales messaging and translating a complex, fast-moving technical product into a story that sellers can tell and buyers can act on
Fluency running coaching and call reviews with sellers and Sales leadership — you can spot what a rep needs from listening to five minutes of a call
Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales leadership, Product, Product Marketing, Revenue Operations, and Strategic Finance
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
Willingness to be in the San Francisco or New York office four days per week
Nice to have
Experience at a Series B–D company selling a fast-changing product to a mix of technical and business buyers
Background enabling both direct sales and a self-serve to enterprise motion
Experience selling or enabling into AI, developer tools, search, or enterprise infrastructure
Familiarity with modern enablement and revenue tooling (CRM, LMS, conversation intelligence, content management)
Previous time as an AE, SDR, or SC before moving into enablement

Perplexity is looking for a dynamic and innovative contributor to join our team to help advance the business, improve the products we’re building, and revolutionize the way people search and interact with the internet. This unique role offers significant responsibility to apply and strengthen your technical background and combine your legal experience, and offers growth potential in other areas of an in-house practice group.
About the Opportunity
We seek a technical lead to join our legal operations team to drive infrastructure development across our legal and operations team and support our ambitious growth trajectory within our rapidly growing AI technology company. This unique role will report to the Legal Operations Manager and partner with the General Counsel and VP, Operations on strategic planning, architecting, delivering, and transforming high-volume legal workflows into scalable, automated systems. We're seeking a sharp, innovative technical operations professional with strong business judgment, practical problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of high-growth startup environments. Ideally, this person also brings legal expertise alongside technical know-how. You’ll build scalable processes and establish foundational systems that will scale with our growth. Success requires someone who is inquisitive, has entrepreneurial drive, and the agility to thrive in our fast-paced environment while shaping our non-technical orgs from the ground up at a cutting-edge AI technology company.
About the Role
Responsibilities
Architect and build Perplexity's Legal and Operations Engineering platform — a coherent stack of agents, workflows, and evaluation infrastructure that replaces manual, high-volume legal work across commercial contracting, e-discovery, enterprise redlining, subsidiary governance, vendor onboarding, and litigation and matter management.
Own the enterprise contracting automation system end-to-end.
Ship the in-product legal surfaces built on Perplexity and Computer itself
Consolidate today's ad-hoc legal bots, prompts, and scripts into a documented, observable, and reusable platform with clear conventions for personas, tools, evals, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop patterns.
Serve as the technical partner to the General Counsel. Translate complex, judgment-heavy legal workflows into engineered systems, and translate engineering constraints back to non-technical stakeholders.
Evaluate, retire, or replace third-party tools where a purpose-built internal system gives us a structural advantage.
Be the case study for forward-deployed engineering in non-engineering functions at Perplexity. Success here becomes the playbook for Legal, Recruiting, People, Workplace, and Operations.
What You’ll Bring
3+ years of backend software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems at meaningful scale.
A working knowledge of legal concepts, with some experience in legal operations or paralegal work is desired.
Strong business judgment and practical problem-solving; comfortable making operational calls with incomplete information and calibrating risk in real time.
Track record building scalable processes and foundational systems from scratch, not maintaining a mature function.
Fluency with modern legal tech and AI tools; disciplined human-in-the-loop practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work directly with senior legal, finance, and executive stakeholders.
Entrepreneurial drive, intellectual curiosity, and agility to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-moving environment.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience at an AI-native, SaaS, or consumer technology company operating at Perplexity’s pace.
Familiarity with e-billing platforms (e.g., Brightflag), matter management, CLM, and entity management systems.
Comfort with ambiguity, rapid context-switching, and a builder mentality.

In 2026, we launched Computer, the defining product for the new era of agentic AI. Millions of people now use Perplexity to transform knowledge into action, and a growing share of them meet us first on their phone. The Growth team owns the product loops that help people discover, adopt, and build lasting habits around our most important AI experiences — and on mobile that means owning everything from the App Store listing to the first task a user finishes to the moment they upgrade.
As an Android growth engineer at Perplexity, you'll work across the full mobile funnel — install, activation, onboarding, push and lifecycle messaging, conversion, retention, and in-app purchase moments — for Perplexity, Comet, and Computer on Android. Engineers are responsible for end-to-end projects: rebuilding onboarding as a series of experiments, wiring in-app purchase and paywall surfaces to our billing systems, shipping notification experiences people actually keep enabled, and turning ASO and deep-link work into measurable adoption.
Growth at Perplexity goes beyond incremental funnel optimization. The team sits close to the core product — we translate behavioral signals, model outputs, and fast experimentation into durable product surfaces used across consumer and enterprise workflows. You'll move fast, run many experiments in parallel, and own the outcome end-to-end, while respecting the constraints mobile brings: release cycles, store review, and version fragmentation.
Why Perplexity is different
Craftsmanship. We build high quality, tasteful products targeting both the AI native and AI curious.
Ownership. You identify the problem, design the solution and ship it.
Entrepreneurship. We think like founders, act with urgency, and hustle to deliver for each other and our users.
Scholarship. Work among highly talented peers, pursuing knowledge and truth, upleveling ourselves, our teams, and our products.
Partnership. We amplify each others' strengths, break down silos, and give selflessly to help our colleagues deliver excellence.
What you'll do
Design, build, and own growth surfaces across the mobile funnel — install, activation, onboarding, lifecycle, conversion, retention, and paid upgrade moments — on Android.
Lead experiments end-to-end, from hypothesis and instrumentation through implementation, analysis, and rollout, shipping many in parallel despite app release cadence. Build the flag-driven and server-driven patterns that let us test without waiting on a store release.
Own in-app purchase and paywall surfaces: billing integrations, subscription and credit purchase flows, entitlement correctness, and pricing and packaging experiments.
Build push and lifecycle notification experiences that earn their opt-in — permission prompts, targeting, timing, deep links back into the right task, and the instrumentation to prove they drive retention rather than churn.
Make cross-platform surfaces feel native. Partner with web and design engineers so onboarding, upsells, and in-task nudges are consistent across web, iOS, and Android
Partner with rest of Growth to optimize app store performance and attribution
Hill-climb on the metrics that matter: install-to-activation, D1/D7/D30 retention, notification opt-in and engagement, paid conversion, and habit formation, instrumented with clean data and trustworthy experiment readouts.
Partner closely with Product, Design, Data Science, Monetization, Marketing, and the core Mobile team to translate behavioral signals into durable product surfaces.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional mobile engineering experience shipping consumer apps at meaningful scale on Android.
Strong native skills — Kotlin/Jetpack Compose — and the willingness to flex into other parts of the stack to unblock yourself and others.
Experience owning a full release cycle: build and release tooling, phased rollouts, store review, crash and regression monitoring, and rolling back safely.
Strong execution: you ship many experiments and product improvements in parallel and drive them to a clear outcome.
Familiarity with A/B testing and experimentation platforms (Eppo, Statsig, Optimizely, or in-house equivalents) especially inside a versioned app.
Comfort data-informed decision-making — you can pull, segment, and interpret your own funnel data.
Strong product judgment; you translate user behavior and growth opportunities into simple, effective technical solutions.
Self-motivated with strong ownership instincts; you propose experiments, ship features ahead of schedule, and drive improvements without asking for permission.
Genuine interest and adoption of AI products and willingness to learn quickly.
Nice to have
Direct experience on a growth or experimentation-heavy team
Deep experience with in-app payments
Experience with mobile attribution and measurement stacks (AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch) and paid mobile acquisition.
ASO experience, including store listing experiments and localized metadata.
Comfort reaching into the backend or web stack to unblock yourself end-to-end.
Time spent at a fast-growing startup or on a high-ownership engineering team.

About the role
We're seeking a Design Systems Lead with extensive experience owning design systems at large organizations. You'll bootstrap an intuitive semantic token system that supports design and product teams across multiple platforms and frameworks - the foundation that keeps Perplexity's product coherent as we scale.
This is a true 50/50 design-engineer role. You'll live primarily in GitHub, where you own the system's repo, while staying fluent in Figma so design and engineering never drift apart. You'll set the bar for visual quality and the technical standards that let feature teams move fast without fragmenting the experience.
You'll work at the intersection of design and engineering, partnering with product feature teams across mobile, web, and React surfaces.
What you'll do
Bootstrap and own an intuitive semantic token system that works across multiple platforms and frameworks
Own the design system repo on GitHub: the source of truth for components, tokens, and standards, including versioning, release management, and a clear changelog
Set and uphold a high bar for visual design quality across every surface the system touches
Navigate the nuanced differences between mobile, web, and React UI best practices, and encode them into the system
Define and run the contribution model and governance: review and shepherd inbound contributions from product feature teams, keeping quality and consistency high as the system grows
Keep design and engineering in sync, bridging Figma and code so the system stays coherent end-to-end
Own clear, first-class documentation so teams can adopt components and tokens on their own, and drive adoption across the org through onboarding, office hours, and hands-on support
Bake in accessibility (WCAG) and theming (including dark mode) as defaults, not afterthoughts
Maintain a system roadmap, balancing net-new work, migrations, and deprecations against feature-team needs
Bring new AI tooling into the design systems workflow and help shape how we build systems in an AI-native way
Operate with autonomy in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment
What we're looking for
Extensive experience owning design systems at large organizations
A true 50/50 design-engineer, equally credible in visual craft and in code
An impeccable eye for visual design
Deep understanding of the nuanced differences between mobile, web, and React UI best practices
Strong product sensibilities to help evaluate and integrate contributions from various product feature teams
Fluency in Figma, but primarily living in GitHub where you own the repo
Experience designing and maintaining semantic design tokens and scalable component APIs
A track record of driving adoption through excellent documentation and cross-functional partnership
Working knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to build them into a system
Readiness to work with new AI tooling and genuine comfort with ambiguity
Nice to have
Experience building a semantic token system from scratch across multiple platforms
A track record scaling a design system through a period of fast org growth
Experience defining contribution models and governance for multi-team design systems
Familiarity with component tooling and documentation platforms (e.g., Storybook)
Experience mentoring designers and engineers and growing a design systems practice

Turn creators into a genuine community and long-term advocates through creator dinners, events, and in-person moments
Build a creative engine that extends your capacity through contractors, agencies, and usage of Perplexity Computer
Work cross-functionally with Growth, Product, Business, and Comms, acting as the connective tissue between creator marketing and the broader company

Operated successfully in high-flux, high-growth environments where priorities shift quickly with the industry
Well-rounded operator who combines strategic sense, storytelling taste, and high execution velocity

Track record of evaluating creator performance holistically, looking beyond impressions and engagement to tie creator work to hard business outcomes, with the analytical rigor to cut what isn't working and double down on what is
Strong creative judgment and editorial taste, with the product fluency to tell whether content and builds are genuinely sophisticated and original

About Perplexity
Perplexity is the answer engine for the AI era. We are scaling a fast-growing enterprise business and building the operating system that runs it. Our GTM stack is modern, API-first, and Snowflake-native. We build before we buy, and we ship.
The Role
We are hiring a Sales Systems Engineer to own the technical layer underneath our enterprise sales motion. This person runs CPQ, account and lead scoring, data orchestration, and the integrations that connect Salesforce, Snowflake, and the rest of our GTM stack.
You will be the technical owner of how deals get priced, quoted, scored, routed, and tracked. You will work directly with sales, finance, marketing ops, and product to build a system that scales from where we are now to a billion-dollar-ARR business.
This is a builder role. You should be equally comfortable writing SQL in Snowflake, building Salesforce flows, configuring CPQ rules, debugging a Workato recipe, and shipping a Python script to fix a data problem before the seller notices.
What You Will Own
CPQ: Quote-to-cash configuration, product catalog, pricing rules, approval workflows, discount governance, contract generation. Partner with Finance and Legal on guardrails.
Scoring: Account scoring, lead scoring, PLG activation scoring, intent signal aggregation. Build and maintain scoring models in Snowflake, push scores to Salesforce via reverse ETL.
Data orchestration: Polytomic, Hightouch, and Workato pipelines that move data across Snowflake, Salesforce, NetSuite, Apollo, Unify, and the rest of the stack. Own SLAs, monitoring, and breakage response.
Salesforce engineering: Flows, validation rules, formula fields, custom objects, Apex when needed, Lightning page configuration, permission sets, sandbox management.
Integrations: API-level integration work across our GTM tools. Build custom connectors when off-the-shelf does not cut it.
Routing and ownership: Account routing logic, opportunity assignment rules, territory management, ROE enforcement.
Reporting infrastructure: Snowflake models that power pipeline, forecast, comp, and exec reporting. Partner with Analytics on the visualization layer.
What We Are Looking For
5+ years in Sales Systems, RevOps Engineering, Salesforce engineering, or Enterprise Systems at a high-growth SaaS company
Deep Salesforce expertise: flows, formula fields, validation rules, custom objects, sharing model, Apex if needed
Hands-on CPQ experience (Salesforce CPQ, Stripe Billing, Maxio, or similar) including pricing, approvals, and quote generation
Strong SQL. You can write production-grade Snowflake queries and build dbt-style transformation logic.
Production experience with reverse ETL (Polytomic, Hightouch, Census) and iPaaS (Workato, Tray, Zapier at scale)
Comfort with REST APIs, webhooks, and scripting in Python or JavaScript
A bias for building. You have shipped custom solutions when the vendor option was wrong.
Operator mindset. You read tickets, you ship fixes, you do not need a PM to translate seller requests.
Nice to Have
Familiarity with PLG-to-enterprise motion and scoring users into accounts
Experience with Apollo, Unify, Loops, Gatsby, Momentum, Floqer, or similar GTM tools
NetSuite or Metronome billing exposure
Comp plan tooling (Everstage, CaptivateIQ, QuotaPath)
Background in entity resolution, dedup, or domain enrichment
How We Work
Build over buy when it earns its keep
Snowflake is the source of truth, Salesforce is the system of action
Live data over polling
Real people own accounts, never queues
Direct, fast, low-process. We delete and resend over debate.
What Success Looks Like
90 days: You own CPQ, scoring, and orchestration. Nothing breaks silently. Sellers know who to call.
180 days: Quote-to-cash is clean. Scoring drives real routing decisions. Snowflake-Salesforce sync is boring.
12 months: You have replaced two vendors with custom builds, shipped the next generation of our scoring system, and made the seller experience visibly better.

Perplexity is looking for a frontend engineer to build the design system behind every Perplexity product. It is the component library and design language shared across web, iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows – the primitives, tokens, and interaction patterns that every product team builds on top of.
Its users are internal, spanning product teams and a broad range of contributors across the company. The components you build become the foundation all of them rely on. You will develop component APIs that hold up across dozens of consuming surfaces and are easy for other teams to adopt correctly, contribute to the token pipeline that keeps five platforms visually consistent, and maintain a high bar for interaction quality and accessibility.
Tech Stack: React · TypeScript · CSS · Design Tokens
What you'll do
Design and build core primitives – overlays, inputs, navigation, feedback – with APIs that stay coherent as consumers multiply
Work across the design-token pipeline – authoring, generation, and per-platform publishing across web, iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows
Partner directly with design on the design language itself, translating Figma systems into typed, testable, documented components
Migrate product surfaces off bespoke implementations onto shared primitives without breaking them
Build accessible components by default – keyboard, focus, contrast, screen readers – backed by automated coverage
Support consuming teams through docs, visual regression coverage, and on-call rotation
What we're looking for
4+ years building production frontend; experience with a design system, component library, or shared UI platform is a plus
Interest in building reusable components
Strong React and TypeScript, and CSS
Working accessibility knowledge (WCAG, ARIA patterns, assistive tech)
Comfort collaborating closely with designers on the visual and interaction language
